So I have recently started a gluten-free diet due to stubborn cystic acne. Tried everything in the dermatologist's magic bag, and nothing has seemed to work, with the exception of Accutane which was just an epic fail because of side effects.

This diet is hard to do and it's expensive! There are no Trader Joe's or Whole Foods around my area so I'm left with expensive health food stores, but I'll deal if it's going to clear me up.

I have only been on it for a few days so far, but I'm already starting to see a difference. I'm hoping it's not a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I look less inflamed. My body also feels a lot lot lot better. Normally for the past 6 years I have been very lethargic, after a few hours of being awake I feel the need to take a nap. Now I feel much more energized during the day! It's great!

I suspected that I have a problem with gluten because whenever I eat a bagel or muffin I get heartburn. I have also had gastrointestinal problems for years that always worsen when I eat food at college.

Anyway, just wondering if this diet has worked for anyone else?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else got this weird feeling in their head while on accutane. it's kind of hard to describe, but about 1 hour after taking my pill, I get a feeling of pressure in my forehead and the top of my nose, and my ears feel kinda full or something. I take my pill at night so when I wake up the feeling is not really there too much anymore but when I raise my eyebrows it feels weird. I know, I know, beware of pseudotumor cerebri/increased brain pressure. I'm just wondering if that could be it because I don't have any other side effects related to that. No headache, nausea, vomiting, or visual disturbances. I would not call this a headache. If anything, I guess it feels like really bad sinus pressure.

I know that this is absolutely related to the accutane because i was on 40mg for 2 weeks and had this symptom, then took a break for 3 weeks to heal my tendonitis and now i have been back on 20mg for 3 days now, and this happened from the first day i took my 20mg pill.

I know my derm is going to immediately take me off the medicine, I just called his office. I'm just wondering if this is something common, that eventually fades away, or if it's much more serious.

So I've only been on Claravis for a little over 2 weeks now 40 mg once daily and I have just recently been noticing that my eyes are overly sensitive to light. Driving is no fun when I have to blink 20 bazillion times a minute. I know this is one of the listed side effects but I'm hoping it's not something that would stick around permanently. Going to call my derm tomorrow about it. Would be nice to know if anyone else has had this problem and how it turned out.
