Sausage scrambled with eggs and a smoothie with homemade kefir, blackberries, strawberries and a bit of parsley. Handful of raisins.
Two slices of Ezekiel bread with butter, a few bites of liverwurst, a swig of plain kefir, a gingerbread cookie which was a failed recipe made from soaked oats and tons of spices. I say failed because they came out rubbery haha, not very cookie like. Good flavor though. Also stopped and got a cafe latte since my boss wanted some soup.
Handful of pomegranate. Steak, cauliflower mash with cream and butter, sauteed carrots in a sauce that had liquid aminos and sesame seeds (idk the minime's dad made it). Strawberries blended with coconut milk. Another couple bites of gingerbread "cookie".
Bahaha I figured that's how you pronounce it but I couldn't help myself!
Man, I got really excited that you made some gluten free swedish pancakes, man I love those things. I think I might start experimenting this week. They are eggy enough that they should hold together well.
Hey tree23, I've been wanting to start a food pic post, maybe one of us should get on that lol. I love posting pics of my food. I did start one called food pr0n a while back, but I'd like one that's focused on healthier food.
deja, good luck with your fast! I still don't feel up to trying one. I'm a wuss.
Today's grub: 1 egg fried in lard, soaked oatmeal with apples, butter, raw milk and maple syrup, green tea, coffee with raw milk, sweet potato with butter and liverwurst. Gonna make meatloaf and herb salad for dinner.
I find that frightening and callous, seriously. I thought this was going to be about the anti-malaria mosquitos but this sounds worse. Yes, let's potentially destroy an entire species because they are pests. It's not like they are an important part of the food chain or anything. I'd like to look up how the mosquito populaiton in the Cayman Islands is doing though, since that was at least 2 years ago now.
Yeah just toss them in the pan just long enough to warm them. If they're still in the shell then steam or saute them on medium heat just until they open. Start with butter, then go for garlic, shallots, white wine, red pepper, parsley... also oysters are really good right out of the shell (raw) or cooked the same way I just described.
Breakfast: sweet potato with ghee and some liverwurst mixed in. slice of Ezekiel bread with butter. handful of pomegranate. glass of raw milk.
Then some black tea, a honey vanilla latte and a cauliflower crust pizza that had homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, fresh tomato slices, onions and uncured pepperoni. I experimented with a new crust recipe and it came out terrible but tasted great. Fixed my pizza craving and thought of a new idea for next time I make crust. When it's successful I'll post it to the recipe board.
Yummy vapor! that sounds awesome. I've made strawberry and chocolate coconut milk ice cream before, but pumpkin? must. try. did you put pumpkin pie spices in it? I made my own "pumpkin latte" the other day. It was coffee topped with coconut milk that I mixed pumpkin puree and spices into with a touch of maple syrup. it had good flavor but towards the end I was getting little bits of pumpkin in my mouth which wasn't too enjoyable.
Today I had sausage and eggs for breakfast with some coffee. Then some pemmican. Southwest style chicken for lunch (chicken, green/red/yellow peppers, onions, spices, chicken broth, salsa verde and a dollop of sour cream), blueberries and some dark choc. covered cacao nibs. kombucha. sirloin steak with sweet potato and ghee.
Exactly. If you are sensitive to something that gives you a bad reaction, def. avoid it. But as you eat better and heal, you'll probably be able to tolerate more foods in the future. Like dairy might bother you right now, even just a little bit, but once your body isn't all inflamed you may be able to enjoy a dish of ice cream no problem. But yeah, in the beginning you must be really strict.
To each their own, I was just making the statement with purely comical intentions anyway. But yes, animals are just as drrty as us. Just take a day to read about bonobos. Or check this wiki article about animal sexual behavior.
Yes this so much. When I look back at pics of me before I had let acne bother me, all I see is how happy I was or however I was feeling, it's what shines through. When I went through my hatemylifecuzmyacne phase I looked miserable all of the time and it showed.
I also like to experiment with wearing makeup. I have been paying close attention to see if people react differently. I manage a chiropractic office and so I see a lot of the same people all the time, on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. I find that it really doesn't matter what makeup I have on or not... as long as I'm smiling and connecting with people somehow, it's all positive. People are friendly, we talk, guys flirt, etc. In fact, even if my face is caked in foundation, if my attitude is off, people notice and there's a big difference in how we interact. Sometimes it's actually surprising because I will feel insecure about my acne or red marks but I suck it up and just be myself... and wouldn't you know it, everything is fine.
