Breakfast: full fat greek yogurt, a persimmon, pomegranate seeds, brazil nuts, coffee with milk
Lunch: 2 boiled eggs, avocado slices with a bit of mayo, and entire (yes an entire) large baked butternut squash (it was too good), snap peas
Dinner: salad with greens, tuna, raw cheddar, kimchi, lemon vinaigrette, cucumber, and mushrooms

I'm going to try eating less fat in my diet as another thread recommends, to see if it helps the over-production of sebum in my skin. I also want to lose about 2-3 pounds and just some plain old water weight from the boozing I've been doing. I think I'm going to try eating all fruit for just 2 days as that other thread also suggests.

I have noticed that reading this forum gives me a major headache though, and my skin rarely improves while I'm reading it. In fact, it seems my skin always looks pretty great when I'm not thinking about it so much or over-analyzing it. The aspect of some restricting diets (no grains, no dairy for example) really depresses me.

...I wasn't trying to start a debate. I was just, like I said, curious. Why be defensive?

Sorry I haven't read the rest of the thread, but I'm curious- what do paleo people think causes high cholesterol? Thanks!

It's like hummus, but with eggplant instead of chickpeas for a different flavor.

    1 large eggplant
    1/4 cup tahini
    3 minced garlic cloves
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    cumin (be liberal)
    chopped cilantro or parsley
    salt and pepper to taste

Bake eggplant at 450 degrees for 20 min. Peel skin, chop, and blend with other ingredients in a blender. I like to keep some of the chopped eggplant on the side to add back in once I blend everything, because I like having some eggplant chunks. It makes about 6 servings. It is VERY important to let it marinate in the fridge for a day or two- it makes a huge difference in the taste. Serve it in a bowl and throw some sliced kalamata olives on top and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil. Eat with whole-wheat pitas, quinoa, or veggies. I find it tastes best with the pita.

Here's another one of my favorites:

    Stir-fry with Tahini Ginger Sauce-

    Tahini Ginger Sauce (1 serving)-

    1 Tbsp Tahini
    2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
    1/4 Tsp Stevia
    1/2 Tbsp Fresh Ginger
    1 clove Garlic
    1 Tbsp Reduced-sodium Soy Sauce

Stir-fry any veggies you want (I like red pepper, watercress, onions, + mushrooms) with olive oil or canola oil. Add a serving of either brown rice or soba noodles. Then add in sauce and let simmer awhile. It is also good with some extra-firm tofu fried in.

I've been eating this everyday for the past week because it's so delicious:

    Mexican-style Salmon Burger-

    -Part 1-

    1) Chop up 2 oz salt-free canned salmon in a bowl with chopped green onions, coriander (be liberal), cumin, pepper, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and 1/8 tsp salt.

    2) Whisk an egg and add some to the salmon mixture (you only need about half). Take 1/4 cup whole-grain bread crumbs (I like Ian's whole-wheat) and add about half to the mixture and stir.

    3) Make a patty with the mixture and then pat in the remain breadcrumbs around the patty

    4) Grill with 1 tsp olive oil over medium heat

    -Part 2-

    1) Toast 1 slice of Ezekiel bread (the sesame works well)

    2) Mash avocado on the toast and season with pepper

    3) Take 1/4 cup canned black beans, rinse, and mash with 1 1/2 tbsp salsa

    4) Spread the black bean mixture over the avocado on the toast, and add sliced bell pepper and onion on top.

    5) Then add the salmon burger on top of everything and eat.

It is sooooo delicious! It looks very elegant and pretty too; I can take a picture tomorrow if I eat it again. I ate it with a steamed sweet potato and frozen cherries on the side.

Yes, you can use flavored and still get benefits! A little sugar shouldn't hurt unless you are diabetic, but imo green tea tastes nasty when sweetened.

Blackheads- is there really any way to get rid of them?
I always have blackheads, and nothing I do seems to make a difference. It drives me crazy because it makes my pores look big. Right now I do a gluten free low glycemic diet, but its obviously not helping my bheads. I dont know what the cause is, but I suspect hormones. Any ideas on how I can help this? I wont cut out dairy, thats just not realistic for me.

mmmm, I love fage yogurt. I top it on my strawberries and sprinkle xylitol over it(unfortunately I can't get any nice sweet strawberries in my area just crap kind-of-sour ones but they are still good and extremely good with xylitol). The fage tastes exactly like whip cream with xylitol in it. I also put it on my coconut flour pancakes. My mouth is watering right now. I get the fage full fat, yum. Sorry I didnt answer you question.
