Hey listen, I know this wasn't the best title and/or topic for a thread, it's just that I have had acne for years now and never really realized how bad it was until recently when I decided to change my regimen and broke out a lot and now things are worse and it's affecting my job, my school, my life, everything. I read your post on psychotic and I think that is exactly where I am going. There are soo many unanswered questions and I feel like there is nowhere for me to go but here. Again, didn't mean to sound stupid or anything, was just curious. I am a different person and my life is changing, and I don't know how to go about this.....
I read all these posts about people that follow these regimens day after day (most times twice a day) and don't miss one day. How does one do it if they are invited to go to a cottage, or if there is a party one night and you go get drunk and miss a day. I feel like my life is going to completely change because I have to follow a regimen.
Any thoughts out there on people being able to follow there regimens and maintain some sort of a lifestyle.
Vinegar is not working and i have stopped using it and gone back to straight BP, and it has worked the best for me, skin is getting better and seeing the best results yet. I used the vinegar before my shower in the morning like the post said but my skin was not taking to it, starting getting more and more breakouts, till finally I decided to go see a dermatologist.
I am looking into Levulan treatment! No more vinegar for this guy.
Hey, i have been using this method for a couple weeks. Not happy right now, have had a bad breakout. i was doing once a night, before i went to bed and it's not working, so, i decided to go back to putting it on after a shower. seems to be working better. will keep you updated.....
I am also having the same problem. Try going back to the original post and follow her way of applying it.......full strength before a shower and washing it off, and use it at night???
I have been using ACV with Tea Tree Oil for a couple weeks now. I apply it at night before i go to bed and wash it off in the morning. My skins looks less irritated from when i was using BP and antibiotics and has shown some improvement, but I am still seeing red bumps nothing like cysts or anything, just little red bumps. This treatment works well on any big zits, drying them up and minimizing there appearance but I need to get rid of the small red bumps, I need to improve my skins health make it look healthier. I am thinking that the effectiveness is wearing off because of the ACV and my skin is sensitive and maybe the ACV is irritating it or not agreeing with it because it is more acidic or something??
I am going to try and swtich to the Rice Wine Vinegar and see what happens. Will post again in a week or so.
Does everyone wash before applying the vinegar or apply then wash? What is everyone using as a body wash? I am currently using Head and Shoulders as read in another link as a remedy but I don't think it works very well. I think i need something a little more sensitive........
I've had acne on both my back and chest for approximately 7 years. I have been taking antibiotics for a long time now, on and off, but on for the last year along with some Clindamycin mixed with Cetaphil wash. It has reduced my acne but does not completely clear it and i still get pimples. I have a feeling that a lot of the reason for the clearing up is because of the winter and not sweating as much as normal than in the summer. I think that if i can clear it up before this summer it would be easier to control. I think i am ready to try this method but have a couple of questions before i begin.
should i stop taking the antibiotics?
What type of body wash should be used? My dermatologist has recommended that i use Panoxyl Antibacterial Creamy Wash with what i do now, which is a wash normally for the face and even says in the instructions to use only on the face, but he recommended it?? Any suggestions?
Overall, should you not be using any other cream or medication??
