  1. What to do?

If you don't have active acne I wouldn't go on the regimen - it might make you breakout via the purging process that can go on for weeks (has for me) I'd maybe start using a bit of AHA and see how you go. AHA and BP is good for active acne not marks. Good luck.
  2. I'm on week 7 and in the same boat - however it's not excessive since I've stepped up the Amount of moisturizer I use..maybe use a lot of moisturizer with the jojoba mixed in, then dab jojoba on the really dry areas. You're not alone, I've read heaps of posts about people going through the same thing. Maybe go easy on the BP application until your skin adjusts. Good luck.
  3. Sounds like what I went through - I broke out the worst in weeks four and five...mostly getting whiteheads now, though there is one painful one near my brow. Hang in there - the first few weeks are the hardest! I have definitely seen smoother bump free skin despite the breakouts isolated to many forehead. Good luck.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I'm at the end of my sixth week and had another breakout a few days ago that is slowly clearing - not sure if this is because of the AHA..anyway I'm trying to stay positive as I know the regimen has worked for me before!
  5. Week 3, Unhappy! HELP PLEASE

I feel you - I'm on week 6 now and my skin was horrible in weeks 4 and 5. It's finally starting to clear up but now I've hit the one month mark I'm going to start incorporating AHA and jojoba oil. I wouldn't start adding the AHA until after a month on the regimen. Sorry to say you just have to ride it out - those week initial weeks are tough so be prepared for it to get a bit worse before it gets better. It's tough but just picture how clear your skin will be in a few weeks time. Hang in there!
  6. Hi all I've spent the past few days scrolling through these forums reading everyone else's experiences to reassure myself that things will get better. I'm halfway through week five and have already been through multiple breakouts, and I thought the worst was over. Then today I had another two sore under the skin pimples pop up on my right cheek. This whole time my cheeks have stayed mostly clear and it wast forehead that was breaking out like crazy with whiteheads and sore nodules and now my right cheek has broken out..two are healing and two are coming up (I've been icing it to try and reduce swelling) I now the first two months are hard, but I'm starting to get frustrated. The tiny bumps have cleared but it's the breakout of cyst like pimples that have been getting me down as my face is full of red marks. I'm trying to stay positive as I know stress will only exacerbate the acne but I'm starting to feel down. I just want clear skin again if anyone can share their experience to give to give me hope that would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Recovery

Skin looks great! Mine is very similar to yours in the before pic, but I'm only using BP 2.5%. Just curious - how long did it take you to get clear and did you find that your skin went through an initial breakout/purging stage?
  8. Hi all, After veering off the regimen six months ago, I've decided to go back on it, so basically I'm back at square one and to me, my skin looks terrible! I've not had a breakout this bad for a decade at least. I'm currently experiencing a purge, which seems to clear up then come back with a vengence, mainly on my forehead. Right now I have like eight active pimples on my forehead, mainly on the right side. There is a cluster of four whiteheads that look ready to pop, do I pop or let the BP do its thing? I've attached a pic so you can see what I'm dealing with. Apologies in advance for the mess...any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Should I try the regimen?

It will work if you follow the routine exactly. Be prepared for you skin to "purge" for a few weeks before it is totally cleared. I went on the regimen about 10 years ago then came off it last year thinking if be fine. Big mistake. Six months later I decided to get back on the regimen and I'm my fourth week in, and I've had a few initial breakouts. Just be prepared for it to get worse before it gets better, and don't quit! Good luck
  10. Update: Week 8

I think you skin looks like it's improved! A lot of people don't see full results until the 3-month mark, so maybe stick it out until then. The purging process can take some time, I'm on week 4, and I thought I was clearing up but got another breakout on my forehead. Let me know how you're going when you reach week 12. Keep it up, let's hope clear skin isn't too far away!
