    Yeah I agree with you. I am just trying to find out what best works for me:)
    I already found the right diet and supplements that work best for me for several years.
    Now I just have to add in the external part and see what works best for me. So for me its the combination.
    Of course once I am mostly clear (~90%), I will experiment with reducing bp. But for now bp is surprisingly making my face hurt a lot less along with reduction.
    I will try to remember to update this next month or two

    Just a little update

    Well after 12 days of adding in the regimen to my Paleo (plus carbs) diet I have seen about 50% improvement in my acne!
    My forehead is very dry and flaky but I think my skin is still getting used to the benzoyl peroxide 2.5%.
    I am okay with putting benzoyl peroxide at this dose because it is not damaging in the long run according to my "research".
    I am going to try to test this out 4 or 5 months in addition to my already healthy diet.
    I guess for some people it is not enough to eat a healthy diet to clear up at any age!

    I already looked in dysbiosis and i don't have it. I tried the elimination diet for 4 months about 2 years ago. And all it did for me is confirm what my blood test told me that I am sensitive to corn, wheat and gluten. And obviouslly been avoidng this since I am following a diet similar to Paleo style of eating.

    eah that is what I was thinking of doing. Once I receive the 2.5% BP I will stop using the 10% BP wash and just use a mild cleanser. Since I will leave in the gel to go into my pores, I figure its just as strong as the BP face wash. Well atleast thats what it says under the regimen... But many people seem to have success with the gel even though most of them eat crappy compare to me.

    Diet + The Regimen

    I posted this under the regimen section but I am not getting any feedback there. LOL
    So I will post this here....

    I was wondering if anyone here had some success combing the two?
    I been mostly concentrating on the diet aspect in the last 7 or so years but I noticed that I always had to use benzoyl peroxide wash (10%) regardless of the composition of my diet. Out of all the products the benzoyl product somewhat controlled my acne better compared to other products.

    I eat a Paleo style diet for almost 2 years but unfortunately after almost 20 years of having acne I am still breaking out. I am now 32 years old and realize I will always have acne and will never outgrow it. I don't really know what else to do at this point. I have used Accutane 13 years ago and obviously it didn't work. And I am still suffering some of the side effects from it.

    I am wondering if adding the treatment gel (2.5%) like described in the regimen will make any difference? I am assuming it won't hurt me since my skin is already used to benzoyl peroxide. Does putting the gel help control the oil too? I tend to get very oily by mid-day and evening..

    Any feedback would be appreciated

    FYI my current topical regimen is: Clean and clear cleanser (10% benzoyl peroxide), clean and clear moisturizer (0.5% salicylic acid) (or Complex 15 moisturizer) and clean and clear spot treatment (10% benzoyl peroxide).

    I already eat pretty well with Paleo diet. But I haven't found a good face moisturizer that doesn't break me out.
    I tried putting coconut oil on my face in the past but my face broke out.
    I never tried combining coconut oil with tea tree oil. How did you figure out the right ratio of coconut oil to tea tree oil?
    Might try that out with the tea tree oil:)

    Very interesting...

    Now in terms of the isolated fats. Did you see any negative effects of coconut oil or coconut milk in your research? I know in your original post you mentioned that coconut oil is okay to use (if I am not mistaken).

    I do notice if I use lot of butter (grass-fed or conventional) in one meal, I do have a negative effect in my body resulting in diarrhea the next day. So that definitely messes up my digestive tract. But than again that would occur normally to any other person if consuming a lot of fat at one sitting? My skin doesn't break out but might be a little more oily, but I can't confirm that 100%. Because its always oily. lol

    Yeah I agree. Most of those people are thin. That doesn't mean they are healthy. But it proves a point that you can loose weight eating lots of fruits
    Its not really related to acne, but to weight issues.

    wow so you always eat organic and grass fed? do you ever eat out?

    I don't like too many meals a day. So I typically only eat around 3 meals a day. I am definitely not underweight so I don't need to eat more. LOL

    Breakfast: Usually grass fed sassages with some green veggies steamed or raw with coconut oil. Or a green smoothie consisting of coconut milk/cultured milk, veggie and 1 or 2 piece of fruits. Or sometimes I fast coz I am usually not that hungry in mornings.

    Lunch: Big salad with 1 or 2 table spoons of olive oil plus some protein (chicken/red meat/fish/seafood).

    Dinner: Steamed veggies with some protein (chicken/red meat/fish/seafood) plus sweet potato or some squash or rice with butter or coconut oil added. Or soup with some protein.

    Note: I also take a multivitamin, magnesium, saw palmetto extract (not for acne reasons) and recently stopped cod liver oil/fish oil. I do eat cheese, white potatoes, and nuts/seeds sometimes. Most of my protein sources are not organic, grass fed or wild. Cost issues. And I do eat out 2 to 3 times a week so I am sure I am exposed to gluten unfortunately. Also, keep in mind I am not 100% clear. lol

    So you saying just to eat fruit/veggie for 2 days or so? And then go back to the Paleo diet and that will clear it?
    I would probably get diarrhea eating a lot of fruit on those 2 days to get to my normal calorie intake

    I noticed under your profile that you erased (today) what you used on your skin and supplements. So you don't use anything extra to your skin other than diet?

    yeah I eat mostly salads when I am eating out too. But the way the meat/fish is prepared can have some trace amounts of gluten too. Thats why I said you can't avoid it 100% of the time when eating out.

    yeah I am thinking of trying this for 2 or 3 days to see how I feel. I have nothing to loose. So I will just reduce my fat intake in my Paleo diet and slightly increase my fruit intake. And the only fat I will consume is coconut oil, coconut milk and cultured coconut. And replace proteins with mostly fish and seafood. It won't be too hard since I am already eating a Paleo diet.
