  7. Confidence with acne

I actually follow her already. Thank you so much for replying. When someone compliments me , I can never accept the compliment. There are days when I hate to look at myself in the mirror. I know I should be grateful for not having severe cystic acne, but I wonder if my acne will ever go away. I dream of waking up not so early to put on makeup for school. I would rather use makeup than be judged though. I have moderate hormonal acne. I just want clear skin and to love myself. I wish I could relate to Sara k and say she has helped me, but she is gorgeous. She had beautiful eyes, cheekbones, and seems to really know how to love herself. I am still in the process to love myself and it's not really working. Reading your story has touched my heart. While reading I saw so many similarities Between you & I. I was once right where you are with my acne battle. I'm here to inform you that IT GETS BETTER! However, changing your attitude And finding a slight amount of confidence will push you forward. The exact minute that I decided get out of my funk EVERYTHING CHANGED! IT starts with you. Please don't rest in that insecure state-find beauty in your flaws. Lastly, know that you are not alone-we all struggle on a daily like yourself. For instance, look at all the love support that surrounds you. PLEAse check my acne story on my blog/YouTube. I Hope my story gives you strength to find your inner love! LETS stay connected- I'm rooting for you.

Do research - I did research that surrounded the ins and outs of acne. I primarily researched the causes of acne, with the information I was able to find solutions. I reviewed products before use & I tested products only on one area of my face first. 2. I learned how to properly treat acne - I learned what and what not to do for acne prone skin. Such as NEVER sleeping in makeup, and being sure to always Cleanse, Tone & Moisture my skin twice a day. Also, I learned my skin type, and better eating habits to decrease my acne. 3. I Stopped using heavy liquid makeup - I gave my skin time to breath and properly heal by transitioning to a lightweight mineral makeup instead of liquid foundation. On most days I do not wear any makeup at all. This decision was hard, yet has greatly helped improve my skin. 4. I removed toxic people and relationships out of my life. -I made the decision to remove toxic people out of my life who were constantly criticizing my damaged skin. I didn't spend any time addressing negative people nor negative comments. Most people WILL NOT understand your daily struggles with acne-be sure to protect your space by not allowing others opinions to affect you so much. 5. I read motivational/self help books and watched uplifting videos -An amazing book that I read was "15 invaluable laws of growth" (by John C. Maxwell) every sunday I tuned in to Oprah's network to watch Super Soul Sundays, and I listened to uplifting podcasts and youtube videos. These actions gave me the strength to make it through My hard days. 6. I found beauty in my flaws. - I convinced myself that I was uniquely and beautifully made despite my flaws. i instilled in my head that my imperfections are what makes me beautiful. 7. I begin to blog and discuss my feelings -Starting the Beauty& Blemishes movement has helped me uplift other people, which has pulled me through my tough times with struggling with acne. 8. I learned to love myself - I found a new everlasting love for myself. I reminded myself that I have so much to offer. I spent time exploring the skills and qualities that I enjoy most about myself. 14. Almost 3 weeks using Acne.org

    From the album Acne.org Regimen

The left side shows my skin a couple weeks before starting the regimen. The right side highlights my skin after using the products for almost 3 weeks! There hasn't been a drastic difference, yet a slight improve in my skin.
  15. FINALLY started the regimen!!!

Hello Beautiful people, LONG TIME no hear, it's been a while since I checked in with you all. SO MUCH HAS CHANGED! The last time we spoke my skin had greatly cleared from using tretinion and clindamycin face topicals. (please read previous posts for more information). Up until October 2016 I had stayed consistent with using my prescribed topical with the exception of a few months. On a couple of occasions I ran out of these products, therefore I did witness side effects. The only side effect I did notice was breakouts. my skin was breaking out in small "heat bump" like breakouts. ( I will post a picture). To help try to combat these breakout I started searching for new products that can clear my skin. Some of the products I used were: Shea Moisture, kiehls, and clean and clear. Out of all of these brands my skin cleared slightly with Clean and Clear products. I stopped use of the other brands within a couple of weeks. CURRENTLY In present day I am ONLY using acne.org Regimen products. I have consistently been using the products since October 5, 2016. It has almost been 3 weeks on the regimen and I must admit I do see a change in my skin. Within the time frame it hasn't been a drastic change, yet there has been a difference in my skin. I'm noticing that my blemishes are lighter, yet there has been a few pimples while on the regimen. I have always noticed dryness, however nothing uncontrollable. My plan is to continue with the regimen and hopefully achieve clear skin. I WILL keep each of you updated. Feel free to share your regimen story with me and ask any questions you might have! BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE UPDATED PICTURES! *ALSO* Check out my Youtube channel for more about my acne story! titled- BeautyandBlemishes (Below is the link) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCefDlCwQ91fSOGG1XS1EyMg/videos?view_as=public Stay Positive!
