  1. Medication advice please!

Hi there! Unfortunately yes, whenever I increased my dose I did have a break out for quite some time. If you can get your skin care routine down, exfoliate, peels, etc to keep the clogs at bay that may help ease. I use Mandelic acid peels weekly for this. I had to also up my dose several years in to using Spiro as I stopped BC, and my levels changed. Have you done a test on hormone levels recently? It may help you to see if you have any other issues causing which could be lower Estrogen, and higher Progesterone. Best to uncover the issue. I have my hormones tested frequently with my endocrinologist. Bumping to 125 mg from 100 mg fixed my skin right up. I fought going to 150 mg. Hi there! 2. Spironolactone IB!?

Hi doll! Take a look at my profile, posts and story. My IB with Spiro took about 5 months to finally calm down and have consistent clarity. Birth control can play a very large part, I'm not sure about Marvelon but Yas and Yasmin are the best to pair with Spiro effectiveness. If yuor BCP throws off your hormonal balance with Estrogen and Progesterone that can cause challenges. Feel free to reach out if I can help in anyway. Stay strong, Spriro is a life saver. I've been on it since 12/2013 and have figured out the right dose for a perfect balance 125mg
  3. Hi there! I've been a Spiro user since Dec 2013 and have not gained weight on it. Remember a lot of women are taking Spiro to help treat symptoms from PCOS. PCOS has all sorts of related health issues, including those attached to weight, insulin tolerance, etc. The only time I ever had trouble with losing weight was being on BCP or anti-anxiety meds. I only take Spiro (no birth control pills or IUD) and have maintained a consistent weight. Hope that helps! Liz
