True holistic view to acne is the most important. I got it under control only when I put down my triggers, scientific articles I had and feeling what really caused me acne....and started following it all religiously.
Some hints: diet, sun, filtered water, inflammation control.
Gluten causes deficiency in selenium, magnesium, vitamin A, protein, vitamin D, iodine.
It tool 12 years to get full picture.
But now at least I know I can offer some advice. Proper advice. It took me 1 month and a half to write it all this down..but I am happy I did!

I have had oily and dehydrated skin, because of harsh treatment, alcohol in toners and not right mosituriser.
After 12 years of trying different products, I can say that most important is foam based cleanser, mild neroli (orange blossom) hydrolat which acts as astringent but does not dehydrate and - not doing an ad here, but very light allergen free moituriser and the only that really seriously didn't cause me outbreaks but hydrated my skin....Clinique Moisture Surge. The biggest mistakes people make according to make experience:
1. using scrubs which make bacteria and inflammation travel across the face
2. using unfiltered water tap water
3. using toothpaste with fluoride
4. not staying away from sun and not using sunscreen
5. finally thinking that lotion, cream will provide miracle cure...
My acne stays away only when I am on proper diet, take supplements and use good regime.
