So after a month of the pictures that show my face during the 3rd month, my face began to clear up. It is finally smooth and no acne is present on it. My confidence is building back and I can finally play soccer without the itching that sweat caused while I was on Accutane, and I go out often now. It's been around a month and a half since this picture so I've improved.
You're absolutely right on this point. I'm actually waiting for my tests to check my diaminoxidase levels. If they are low, then that would mean histamine rich foods could cause several problems to my body.
I'm a girl dealing with the same problem, so you are not alone.
I've been on a strict paleo for 2.5 months. So far, I improved a lot in my overall acne (acne I usually had around my jawline, ears, an odd spot on the cheeks, blackheads on my nose and generally greasy skin. This is all gone.). However, my biggest problem is the acne around my chin and this one is still there. I've done a lot of reading and finally decided this was something too complicated for me to deal with so I went to the experts. I would suggest you to get a good doctor, better if it is a holistic one, and get some tests done.
I've had a stool test done and found out I lack many bacteria, so now I will need to tackle this. Regarding my hormonal acne (the one in my chin) it's helped me a lot to check my basal temperature everyday and use an online application to record all my symptoms, as well as ovulation day, etc. it's incredible how much related it is. Try to eat super healthy from your ovulation day until you're passed your period, it will help you a little. I have another appointment next month so I will update you on my progress and how the doctor decides to tackle the hormonal issue.
In my case I also developed this type of cystic acne last year even though I had acne all my life. Don't know why.
In my case, spicy food causes me to have a runny nose. So does red wine or raw scallions.
I also used to have digestive problems everytime I ate lettuce and red peppers. I must say that after being paleo for over 2 months, this problem is gone. I believe I didn't have enough digestive enzymes in my system. I have been reading a lot about nutrition and so on and it is important to eat raw vegetables and fruits so as to get these digestive enzymes.
Can anyone share a good video/article on fermenting your own sauerkraut? I did mine 3 weeks ago, but it didn't work. I think it might be because I pressed it too much. There is almost no water in the jar, now!
I would add that there are good fats and bad fats. The vegetable fats you find in processed products are obviously bad and you should limit them if you want to lose weight. The ones found in food like fish etc. are supposed to be good.
Mine isn't usually fizzy, I let it ferment for 24 hours and then drain it and drink it in the next 24 hours. If I keep it longer than this then it starts being fizzy. However, even though I drink it without being fizzy I can guarantee it helps my bowel movements. I have them when I drink kefir and I stop having them when I stop drinking it!
Hi, interesting story.
Being a girl, do you see any breakouts related to a specific moment in your cycle?
I have been on Paleo for a month with extraordinary results but now all of a sudden I have a new breakout. I'm ovulating at this moment.
