I personally love clinique, but you have to keep in mind that their most popular items are the ones that get the most "hate."
The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion sucks, especially if you have oily skin or acne prone skin. It contains Lanolin oil that can break some out. I personally use the Gel version, and it's much better for my oily skin. It doesn't break me out because it contains no oil!
I also use their toner, the number 2. It's for dry combo, but that's because the oily combo is very strong. You want to use a toner that works, but doesn't dry out your skin. Even if you have oily skin, keeping it moisturized will prevent the oiliness. Your skin produces more oil to replenish it.
But those are the only products I use for clinique. You just have to try and see what works for you. But whatever you do, DO NOT go to the ladies at the counter and ask what they suggest. They're absolutely horrible and always try to give you products you don't need or not right for you just because they're expensive. Research the products on line first and then buy them at Sephora or online; not at the counters!
