I think I might give this a try tonight...am I ok to do it since I started the regimen only 2 weeks ago?

I think it would be okay.

Keeping me clear, morning and night: Acne.org Cleanser, Acne.org Jojoba Oil after cleansing but before BP all over face, 1 1/2 pumps of Acne.org benzoyl peroxide, Acne.org moisturizer (morning only), Banana Boat Baby Sunblock SPF 50 (morning only), JASON 5000 IU Vitamin E Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream around eyes only, Acne.org AHA+ Acne.org Salicylic Acid+ beta version (night only)

I just gave this a shot for the first time tonight after experiencing some pretty wicked peeling in my first full week of the DKR. It didn't 100% solve the problem, and I'm still bracing myself for some awful breakout or reaction, but I'm excited to say that my skin for the first time in days feels comfortable— not taught and unyieldingly flaky. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll let you know how my skin fares in the coming days.

Gyroscope352 also uses jojoba oil before BP, but in a slightly different way, so you might want to see .

see I do it gyroscope's way b.c I am worried of it not all coming off

i also don't put it on before the BP b.c I am worried of ineffectiveness

I tried this out this morning & it seemed to work pretty well, but my skin wasn't really that dry.. Just a little (it's definitely been much, much worse).. However.. Throughout the morning I had about 4 or 5 little whiteheads pop up (which is weird, since I almost never get them).. All I had to do was barely touch them, & they popped. Could rubbing in the jojoba oil possibly have caused this to happen?

I've been on the regimen nearly 4 weeks now & have been using jojoba oil since I started, so.. I don't know. It may just be a coincidence.

I'm going to pin this so those who may still be struggling with dryness and flakes despite the usual use of jojoba oil and/or AHA can give this a try.

Is it ok to incorporate the jojoba oil before and after cleansing even when you are new to the regimen? or should you wait a little while before you add any new steps?

I think it would be okay to do it early on in to the regimen if you find that you really need the extra moisturizing.

hey so i have been struggling with flaky skin for 4 years now, i just turned 19. So basically this is what i plan to do; rub jojoba oily on my face before i take a shower, wash it off in the shower, use clean and clear foaming scrub, use nutrogena acne stress control ( only on places i have acne), then when i get out of the shower i will mix jojoba oil with my moisturizer and out it on. Does this sound like it could work? any suggestions?
thanks

I've been using the products for almost a week and my skin keeps getting drier and scaley and now it's starting to flake in parts. So now I have reallly dry skin that feels like it will begin flaking all over any minute, despite the huge amount of mousturizer I put on.

This sounds great for exfoliation (and I'll definitely try it in a couple hours), but is there anything you guys know about to really help the dryness factor?

I want to be able to get back to the regimen as soon as I can!

It sounds to me that the #1 thing you should do now is use less BP than you were before, and be more gradual in increasing the amount.

Doing this jojoba oil massage and leaving some jojoba oil on your skin before you apply BP will also help. I love applying BP on top of jojoba oil because my face doesn't feel nearly as tight or likely to flake when the BP dries.

I wouldn't overdo it if I were you. I would try to limit it to twice a week or something like that.
