Coming off Accutane, going on Tazorac... help!

I just finished up a long course (8 months) of a high dose of accutane ( highest being 80 mgs for about half the course). My skin is clear, with only like one small under the skin bump today and my face is not dry at all!! My doctor prescribed me tazorac to apply 2-3 times a week. what should i expect with using tazorac?? he said it would help the red marks left behind from accutane to heal?? will it dry out my sensitive skin??

how long is your couse?

my course was only supposed to be 5 months at 80 mgs a day, but I am on my 7th month now b/c my face was still breaking out a few days ago. the dosage is lower - 40 mgs one day and 80 the next. I haven't had any bad side affects, the main thing just being TMJ in my jaw.. but it is bearable. I was just curious as to how long everyone is going to be on the medicine?

so frustrated

Right now, I am in my 6th month of accutane. So far, i've taken 40 mgs the first month, 80 mgs the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th month and the last two months i've been on an alternating 40 mgs one day and 80 mgs the next. I am pretty small and have never missed a pill.

My face is still breaking out! So far I've had 3 pimples pop up this week (and its not that time of month) and they are taking foreverrrr to go away. My doctor doesn't want to stop the medicine until my face stops breaking out. I am not totally against this because I haven't had any severe side effects, just a few joint pains and my skin isn't dry at all.

However, it is sooooooooooo frustrating because I am ready to have clear skin and it seems like that is never going to happen

how high?

how high did your triglycerides get while on the medicine? i was on 80 mgs for three months and last time i was at the doctor, they were over 400... so he put me on an alternating 80 mgs one day and 40 the next. should i be alarmed??

is it ever going to end???

So I have been on Accutane for three months now and still no improvement... my face is worse than ever!! My chest and back are almost totally smooth now, but my face is starting to look like a small mountain range.
I weigh 118 lbs and am taking 80 mgs a day...
Is it ever going to get better??
