It has been about 2 weeks now and I'm still in a constant state of breaking out. I've been dosing 10-20 grams a day, atleast over 10 grams each day. I keep hearing that with high doses the initial breakout should be within the first week, but it seems as I accrue the dosage I resume breaking out more critically each time. I'm actually getting cystic pimples, normally they're not as large as the ones i've been getting recently. I'm curious to ask, is there anyone on this forum who has gone atleast two months and had no improvement or perhaps worsened condition? The side effects are no longer palatable at these high dosages, I could deal with it if I were to see any improvement at all but that doesn't seem to be the case.
At the moment I feel I should give it two months, I'm tempted to walk down the Accutane road though. With all the great things i've heard about pantothenic acid's connection to acne makes it difficult to accept what's happening. I can't stay focused on anything else other than my skin at the moment, it was much more negligible before starting b5. I feel it's abnormal to still be breaking out....is it? Am I the anomaly or has anyone else had a similar experience that was soon rectified over time?

I've been using 10 grams of pantothenic acid a day for over a week now. When I started my skin seemed to be very less oily. Infact, it seemed to be clearing up dramatically. It's now day 9 and my skin is breaking out and it feels oily again. I'm not sure if this is due to an initial breakout or perhaps the effectiveness is just wearing off very quickly. Maybe I'm one of the few who won't be treated successfully with B5. When should the initial breakout occur? If I resume the treatment will I eventually see pantothenic acid's benefits? Am I just experiencing the initial breakout right now? Also i've been pooping liquid for about four days, is that normal as well? Should I be concerned or is that just normal? I'm aware that diarrhea is a side effect but it has been quite consistent. What should I do? Should I continue and do you think i'll have success if I do?

Recently I've purchased BlueMD. I used it for about a week and started to see great improvement! I was excited and thought I found the answer, until I started breaking out again. I think the breakout could perhaps be due to using the light too much, I started with two sessions a day but due to satisfaction of results I started using it more frequently. My question is, will using the light too much cause breakouts? Now I am seeing a great amount of small pimples leaving my face a bit discolored. It also seems that the light doesn't treat all my acne, the acne on my forehead remains the same after the blue light, while the acne on my cheeks react the same way as a course of BP.
Does the light only target certain types of acne and once again, is there any possibility that using it too much can cause worsening of the skin condition I'm trying to rid? The light also results in dryness, could dryness be a factor? I have non-comedogenic moisturizers but am still scrupulous of breaking out. It seems all moisturizers trigger a break out for me, including cetaphil, cereva, and hylira. Anyone else use BlueMD and is it really dermatologist grade? I also use Retin-A and that as well causes dryness. Should I moisturize when using a blue light?

I've been on Doxycycline Hyclate twice a day for a month and a half expecting some improvement but it has been getting worse. It seems I break out a bit each week and now my face is quite covered. It's making me sick just viewing my reflection, I'm also very prone to redmarks. I've been experiencing more severe side effects from the anti-biotic, I've been vomiting, feeling pain in the location of my liver, and frequent diarrhea. I'm at the point where I really don't want to continue taking the antibiotic. I'm starting to doubt improvement will result, is it normal for the breakouts to last this long? I mean seriously, I understand that there's a chance some people may experience a initial breakout during the first or second week, but I'm almost done two months and I'm still breaking out. I'm beginning to regret this second cycle of Doxy when I had the option to start Accutane. Is it normal to still be breaking out? Should I ignore the side effects and continue? I'm very depressed...input is greatly appreciated... -_-

Hello, I've been using Retin A for about a week now and have applied it without irritation. Until last night that is, when I applied it then decided to smoke. Would smoking right after applying the gel result in irritation? I noticed my face became red and sensitive. Is there a link between smoking and irritation? Is it at all harmful to the skin as sun exposure would be while using this retinoid?
