feels like a sunburn!

all the sudden in the last two days my skin has been crazy. it feels like a sunburn at its worst and it gets red and splotchy. this has never happend before, but maybe once or twice when living in mississippi. i havnt changed anything i put on my face or eaten anything diffrently. the only thing i cant think of is iv been takeing primrose capsuls at night. can anyone help? i want to go to a derm but my mother thinks its stupid. shes not the one dealing with the uglyness and the pain though.

hormonal white heads :(

its my month again and that means hormonal acne. its not horrible, just a white head but its always around my mouth, it makes me self concious. im trying not to pop it because they always leave red marks no matter how gentle i do it, and the red marks take months if not a full year to fully heal. today is day number 5 that its been there it seems like its going away but then at night it seems back to normal. what should i do?
im useing benzaclin at night and morning but it dosent seem to do anything.

tretinoin for hyperpigmentation?

i wasnt sure where to post this but i figured its about hyperpigmentation so..
my hyperpigmentation isnt from acne. its on my body, legs arms, wrists. just from small cuts or anything like that and they become "scars" but now iv learned they are not scars but my hyperpigmentation. sorry for over useing the word! my derm prescribed me Tretinoin cream but i looked it up and found it was for acne? has anyone else used this for there skin? i know i should trust my derm but i dont. so i was just asking is this normal? has any one had success with it helping fade the purple color?

zinc for hormonal acne?

i have white heads that pop up before my period and had heard alot of good things about zinc for acne. has any one else with my situation tried this, or just any one with acne that has? does it work at all? also i heard to have effect i should take cod liver or fish oil pills? is that true or can i just take the zinc? .. i think fish oil pills break me out is why i ask.
right now all i have is One Daily for Wemon and it contains 18mg of zinc. is that good or should i go out and buy pure zinc tablets?

help im on benzaclin!

so for the last 3 or 4 months iv been having breakouts of little white heads about a week or so before my period. (also i scar easily so im was very upset) this was odd because my skins been mostly clear my whole life with a few places now and then. i figured it was hormonal acne and so did my derm so he put me on BenzaClin. at first it was fine stinging and all that. now im on my 8th day of useing it and it feels like an awful sunburn, my face is pealing, and i realy cant tell if its making a deffrence, i have one spot near my lip that will not go away.
iv been using cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. and aveeno moisturizing lotion with spf 15 in the morning.
has any one else used this? what can i expect on a weekly basis? is there anything topical or therwise that worked better for hormonal acne? im saposed to see him in 3 months. im hoping it will get better, but for now i cant even look at my family without hateing myself.
