I didn't know where else to put this, so I hope it's ok.
I was on Marie Claire's website and I found something interesting: http://www.marieclaire.com/hair-beauty/tre.../beauty-rules-3 "As an all-natural alternative, break open a vitamin-E capsule and rub it over your mouth before bed. In the morning, lips will appear positively plush." I want to do this, but I was wondering if it didn't sound safe or something. Does it raise any red flags for anyone? Thanks!

Hi, I currently use Covergirl Clean Pressed powder (in 120 creamy natural) and I'm almost out and need to buy a new powder. I like it, it's cheap, and I don't think it makes me break out too much, but it is scented which bothers my sinuses sometimes. I was wondering if anyone could recomend a powder that's worked well for them, is fairly cheap and won't cause breakouts. Also, unscented.
My second question has to do with foundation. My acne's been clearing up pretty well but I still have dark marks (scars?) on my forehead, temples and a little around my chin and jawline. They aren't deep or even very dark, but I'd still like to cover them. I typically use concealer on these marks, but it's annoying to use a product meant for small areas on bigger areas like that. I've been thinking a foundation (which I've never used might be better). Can anyone recommend a foundation that's worked for them in covering dark marks? I'm also worried about foundation feeling weird on my face or wiping off. I just have no idea what to expect. I think I'd prefer a liquid/cream/mousse foundation over a powder one but I'm not sure. By the way, I have oily skin that's made dry by my acne medication. Just FYI.

I recently made a post in this section about the fact that I quit drinking coffee and I was wondering if I could start again in moderation. If you have any suggestions or advice based on personal experience, please check it out.
So now I'm wondering what else I could drink/eat/do to help me wake up in the morning and feel energized throughout the day. Any advice?

Hi, I have a question for you guys.
I stopped drinking coffee a little over a month ago and have managed to keep caffeine pretty much entirely out of my life. I think I've had like one mug of non-caffeine free tea. I stopped because I've known that caffeine is bad but it took this site to really help me stop. I was having like 2 mugs every morning before school and constantly telling people that I haven't felt the effects of caffeine in a really long time. I just realized that I had nothing to lose by getting rid of it. Now school is starting again and I'm going to have to get up around 7. I know the coffee wasn't even affecting me but I'm worried I'll be worse off without it. I know tea is always a good option, because it has less caffeine. But I was wondering, could I have coffee (1 cup) only on the two days (mon/wed) I have school? Or will it be too hard on my system? I had headaches when I stopped before, and I think it's because of the caffeine withdrawal. I'm past that point now, so is it a bad idea to just go right back to it? Advice, comments, anecdotes, anything would be appreciated. Thanks.

My boyfriend got me this moisturizer and I"m not sure if it's ok or not. It's Nature's Gate Fragrance-Free Moisturizing Lotion For sensitive skin. It's paraben-free, colorant-free, and pH-balanced. It's all natural and apparently (according to the bottle) very good for very sensitive skin.
The problem is it doesn't say noncomedogenic or non-acnegenic on the bottle. Has anyone used this product? Or if you haven't, is it still ok to use on acne prone skin? |
