I'm not sure whether to post this in "adult acne" or "prescription acne medications." I have a textbook case of adult, hormonal acne. I'm sure that diet and other things directly affect my skin, so I am working on improving those factors. At the same time, I am on a regimen of Doryx (antibiotic), Differin 0.3%, and NeoBenz SD 3.5%. Oh, and I started Yaz 3 weeks ago. I've been on my regimen for 3.5 weeks, and here are the pics of how my skin currently looks:
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/forums.html...t My question is, do you think my regimen will work? If I haven't seen any improvement after 3.5 weeks, is there still a chance that this is an IB, or that it just hasn't kicked in? I will be going back to my doctor at 8 weeks to re-evaluate the situation. I'm feeling really down, and I guess I'm just hoping to hear from people who have had a similar situation, whether the regimen eventually worked, or whether they had to stop it and move on to something else. thanks...

So, I am trying to cut back on sugar for sure. And dairy. If I'm lucky and that does the trick, I'll try to add back some dairy, but I do realize I will likely never be able to eat sugar again.
I was reading the Paleo book, and it makes perfect sense, but cutting out legumes, wheat, etc. just seems like too much. Anyway, I am wondering, if you have found that dietary changes cleared your skin, are you able to maintain with moderation, or did you have to give up all those things permanently?

My skin looks pretty good after one week on this regimen. Let's just hope I don't have any big flare-ups.

I was reading a magazine and it had a "how to tell if you're cool or warm tone" section. I have reddish hair and green eyes, so I always assumed I was warm toned, but based on this test, I am cool.
I asked a beauty-know-it-all friend of mine, and she said I was cool. I've been wearing the wrong makeup my whole life! So I have two questions. First, how do YOU tell if you're cool or warm? Second, how do I go about selecting makeup for a fair/cool skin tone? |

Haven't been here for a while, since the semester started I've been busy running around and preparing all the paper work for my thesis...but yea, I'm afraid that I might have hormonal acne...where did you find the progesterone hormone balancing cream? I don't think I've heard of it before...have you tried it yet? Let me know how it goes!!! 12 Feb 2008 - 16:18 Last Visitors
