Sooo, I got my Ipledge info in the mail today. My last name is spelled wrong! Does anyone know if this matters? Will this effect the date I'm able to pick up my prescription?

so i'm going to the derm for the first time in a very long time on friday...
when i was younger, i didn't care as much about being seen in public without makeup, but now... not so much. i wish i could still be like that, though! so my question: all of you that go to the derm- do you wear makeup there? does he/she make you remove it?

Hey everyone...
I have a derm appt. in two weeks and am going to talk to her about getting on the Accutane bandwagon. I've been on Retin-A Micro .01% for going on 18 weeks now. I was completely clear up until about a month and a half ago. Since then I have had moderate and very persistent breakouts ever since. This is the kind of acne that I was dealing with before. I was also on Differin .03% right up to the day I started RAM. So, basically I've been on retinoids for about 2 years very consistently with pretty random success. I've read a few older posts about people thinking their IB was lessened possibly because of their use of retinoids before. Has anyone else experienced this? Or not experienced this? Anyway, I know it's impossible to tell me if I would have the IB or not... just trying to get an idea of what I'm getting into. Thanks

Okay, so about two weeks ago I had a horrific breakout... the first one in months. I'm on Retin-A Micro .01% and have been for just about 18 weeks. From weeks 11-16 was unbelievable because I was completely clear AND my red marks were fading.
Anyway, my breakout is JUST now starting to heal (I usually don't get cystic acne, but this time I did... I think it might be due to my menstrual cycle) and I'm left with SO many red marks. They aren't small, either, unfortunately... some are about a dime size and they're right on my cheeks. After the scabs fell off (Ew, I know...) I've been applying plain ol Vaseline like it's nobody's business. I apply it, don't mess with it for about 2 hours, wipe it off, and start over. I'm not sure why this is working so well but it is. I'm guessing it has something to do with moisture. I know my red marks probably won't disappear entirely from this, but since I have a few down days I'm hoping it will keep showing some dramatic changes. Last night until this morning showed the biggest amount of improvement when I put the vaseline on bandaids and stuck them right on my face... Very attractive! Anyway, this has probably been brought up before, but I thought I'd share in case anyone else is going through the same thing right now... Cheap and effective is always a good!

So... after being pretty clear for almost a month with retin-a micro, I am starting to breakout again. ...Not just a small breakout, either- it's pretty bad.
I play college tennis and have class almost every single day. Because of this, I am super self-conscious about how my skin looks, and am really paranoid about people looking at it since I'm around people so often. While I was on the bus on my way home the other day I was thinking about my insecurities and realized that I literally do not remember if my peers at school have acne or not. So, do you think everyone is like this or just me? If I don't remember if THEY have acne, do you think they remember that I have acne?! haha, I hope not! It's kind of a comforting thought, I guess. Thought I'd share... ha. |
