When i look at myself in mirrors most of the time, i see that my acne has improved so much, yet its still far from being perfect.
recently, i went to my derm for a monthly redosage/checkup. the derm told a few trainee derms: as you can see this drug produces redness on the face etc etc. and recently, my friend commented that my skin looked severely sunburnt. i didnt answer so he told me that it could be due to me being out in the sun too much, but he doesnt know im taking accutane. So im jus wondering what exatcly does accutane does that makes the skin reddish.

Ive done some research on tca cross.
read that it cant be self applied 50 to 100% using a toothpick. and great results have been seen from it. Background on myself: 17 years old. 2 months into accutane course(90% clear) I want to treat my cheek area which has 5-6 shallow ice pick/ rolling scars .( i havent broken out in my cheek for a very very long time so i guess i qualify) I read it is safe to use TCA cross on my scars while on accutane.Im only 17 so i cant afford spending $$ on a surgeon. so i am looking for cheap diy remedies like the lemon and vinegar method. anyone else with other methods that are cheap and diy please let me know. i actually learnt about the tca cross from this old thread. some of the people on it did it themselves and noticed drastic improvement. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/CROSS-tre....html&st=40 so please let me know where u guys purchased your tca cross, and what exatcly i need to do to carry out the procedure on myself effectively. THANKS SO MUCH PEOPLE!

I just bought 2 vitamin supplements. one is for calcium and it contains 200 mg of vitamin d3. the other one is vitamin E 400 IU. I bought them with the consideration that i do not drink any dairy products, and i am deficient in calcium. Vitamin E helps to speed up the skins recovery or so i heard, please let me know if it is true.
However, will these two vitamins reduce the accutane effect. Like minimise the side effects and in the process render accutane less effective? Or will it enhance the accutane. i heard that d3 vitamin helps to reduce redness and side effects while on accutane, but in doing so, doesnt it reduce accutane's job and make it uneffective?? or if anyone got vitamins to reccomend while on accutane that is beneficial , do let me know. thanks. even better if you have taken such vitamins while on accutane, and ur acne has completely gone away while on accutane, let me know your experience. anyone with knowledge in this matter please let me know! thanks in advance:)

i found this tea tree oil blemish fader from body shop that uses natural ingredients. and i was wondering if it will cause me any harm will on accutane. since accutane doesnt heal red marks but leaves it to our body to take care of that, is it fine to enhance the recovery rate with a blemish fading cream?
got lots of red marks from initial breakout, thinking of applying the cream on those reddish marks but non-acne area. please advise me. thanks! |
