general filler information

do some fillers work for certain scars, and other fillers work for other type of scars?

i ask this because my assumption was that all fillers worked for soft scars, and not for pitted ones....but healtyspectic informed me that Artecoll was best for ice pick scarring.

there are so many various types of fillers available in this high-tech age(artecoll, isolagen, radiance, collagen) and one can easily become overwhelmed/confused...

for the benefit of us all, if you've had fillers before and/or have great knowledge of them, please state the following:

1) type of filler

2) type of scar, how much improvement

3) longevity of filler

4)price

TCA test spotting

people always recommend testing spotting for TCA...whether it be for 100% cross or 35% peels...

but my question is....

when people have TCA done...pigment (hyper, hypopigmentations)problems usually occur in isolated areas and not the entire area treated...so why would having a small test spot accurately determine how your skin will react to the TCA??
