Hi Everyone..
Been on Accutane for just over 2 weeks now. Im taking 30mg one day, 30mg the next then 20mg on the third.... Just wondered if i havent really had any side effects so far do you think i should be ok, or did people notice side effects alot later in the course?? So far i have got dry lips but nothing as bad as some people's sound... I did get headaches at first but they have gone. I also feel sick about 2 hours after taking the tablets... so ive started taking them before bed and its much better that way. I have not had any initial break-out- not a single spot on my face at the moment- just one new one on my back. Things seem too good to be true if im honest!!... im awaiting the day i wake up and im full of spots and lots more side effects!! haha what does everyone think??

Hi There,
Well i have finally got my prescription of accutane.... its sat here next to me and i darnt take the plunge and actually take the tablet Suppose im scared that the side effects will be worse than my actual acne!!... I started taking dianette 2 months ago and since then the acne of my face is 100% clear! Just the bacne now- which are cysts on my shoulders. The Derm isnt even sure that accutane will clear these up (as i have had the same cysts/bumps on my shoulders for the past 2 years) The have never changed or come to a head. The accutane is more to prevent further cysts forming. Arrggg!!... So scared that taking the accutane will cause me to have an initial break-out on my face- which is not what i want when i have been spot free on my face for the past 4-5 weeks!! How long after taking accutane will i experience the dry lips??... I have just recently returned from a holiday in Mexico so im lovely and tanned at the moment!...im scared the accuatne will cause my skin to get so dry and peel away my tan!! Help please

Hi Everyone,
After searching through lots of posts on here- it seems nobody has experienced the same thing as me. I have these bumps on my shoulders that vary in size- they are pink/red/white and are hard to touch (like lumps of gristle under the skin). I cant really remember when these lumps appeared- they have been there about 3 years or somthing now- occasionally get worse..like more imflammed and then go back down- but the lump it self never goes I am female and obviously this does alot to my self esteem as i cant wear strappy/summery tops as these lumps are really noticable I do suffer with fairly bad bacne- and also get lots of spots on my face- with the occasional cyst. I have recently started dianette contraception pill as i am going to start on Roaccutane in a few weeks....(which im dreading after reading some threads on here!!!!!!!) Just wondered if anyone else suffers with these lumps/bumps and if roaccutane might help them flatten atleast?? Thanks for reading |

The standard way to get rid of them is to have them removed surgically. All the best, Joe Zit 22 Jul 2009 - 10:47

What you appear to have on your back are inclusion cysts or more commonly known as a wen. It is nothing more than a sac filled with white, smelly, cheesy like material. They are harmless but they can get infected. They frequently appear on the back, neck and scalp. I have had four of them over the years, one on my scalp, one on my back (which was infected) and two on the back of my neck. The stand 22 Jul 2009 - 10:45 Last Visitors
