so guys, i have a question for you (and girls, i'd appreciate your input as well)
i've been getting brazilian waxes for over a year now. i love them- love the salon, the people who work there, the way it feels after- i dont even think it hurts that badly anymore! the problem? horrible ingrown hairs and redness afterwards! i'm not talking some little black bumps and splotchiness- big, red, infected monsters that only really start to subside about a week or two before it's time for my next appoinment they start sometime into the second week after getting waxed. i usually get waxed every 2 months or so. i've tried everything to help them- over the counter stuff, steroid creams, antibiotic ointments, even the acne.org regimen! they tend to keep it at bay, but far from taking them away completely. it's always a painful, bloody, time consuming mess. i know my boyfriend loves the smoothness, but i'm not sure he loves the infected mess! i got laser hair removal on my stomach and i don't have the money for down there, not to mention i don't think it's safe for that area. i wanted to get a rotary epilator, but found on hairtell.com that they cause even WORSE ingrown hairs! yikes! my thought- i have an electric trimmer i use for touch ups in between, and instead i can just trim very closely. my only problem with that is i cant trim certain VERY SENSITIVE parts. guys (and girls), what are your thoughts? is smoothness worth bumps? do guys really care that much about being hair-free down there, or will a light trimming do? any advice wuld be great, please! thanks, and, as always, love and support to all those out there who need it most jj

hi guys
i'm especially clear back wise right now and (knock on wood) don't want to break out for two beach/pool parties i have coming up this week i know i should have posted this sooner, but i'm worried that my first physical therapy session this afternoon might break me out i will be laying on gross mats, not to mention getting a massage in my shoulder area, which i know both break me out also, i'll be getting a treatment where they use an ultrasound machine on my shoulder. does ultrasound goo break you out? i wonder how anyone would know... haha any suggestions from anyone? thanks

so a retin-a for face and dan's for back regimen is really sartign to clear me up. the only problem is, i went on an enviromental trip this week with my school and i broke out a bit on the lower halves of my face and back. also, i had to share a room with 5 other girls form my grade. that's when i relaized-
how am i supposed to keep this up? i take spiro as well, but can't take accutane due to eczema. but i need a long-term solution. four days of a SLIGHTLY different schedule and i break out. also, putting on all my goop in front of them is embarrassing. im startign to let the old misgivings creep back in... how am i supposed to do this in college with a dorm bathroom and a roommate? how can i keep this up everyday, twice a day, for years?! what about vacations if i were to lose track of my luggage? what- go back to square one because of a week or two of oops? i really need moral support, especially if there's anyone out there who started a regimen anything like mine whilst living at home and then continued to use it after livign alone. that'd be so great. really, any help would be so appreciated! ughhhhhh |
