Has anyone successfully used the two together? Either layered at the same time or used RAM at night and BHA in the morning?

I read that you should still exfoliate even if you're on RAM becasue the flakiness you get from it is not considered exfoliation, rather than irritation...

Any thoughts?

Has anyone tried the new Select SPF15 Moistureblend Foundation from MAC? If so what are your thoughts?

If I wanted to keep my facial skin into its beneficial acid mantle range of 5.5... could I do the following...

I do believe that my cleanser is close to 7 to scale, if I wanted to lower that to 5.5... could I add a little bit of lemon juice to it to lower the PH of it? I'd measure it of course with Litmus Paper to get the correct reading first.

Currently I wash, then apply my BHA (with a PH of 3) and then my moisturizer with SPF15 (with a PH of 7.5) which the two neutralize each other to around 5.5 PH... therefore if I could get my cleanser down to 5.5 ... my skin would constantly be at its favorable PH...

I'm I correct to assume this?

I currently do Dan's regimen morning and night... in the day I use Cetaphil SPF15,, but I don't want to use it at night.... I'm currently using Eucerin 5% Face Cream, but I think i'm getting a reaction from it or something because my face always looks really red when I put it on... Can anyone recommend a great moisturizer that is gentle enough to put on top of BP Gel?

This might be a long post, but befoer I go on... let me give you guys a brief history about myself...

Last year I went on Accutane... It'll be only a year that I"ve been off it in Feb. When on Accutane all I used was Cetaphil cleanser and Cetaphil Moisturizer SPF15... 3 months after my oiliness came back therefore, I switched on Cetaphil cleanser made for oily skin and that worked for a while....

then slowly but surely I started getting little pimples around my hairline and on my upper cheek....

At that point my face was back to its very oily self... very unbearable... this summer I had just finished reading Paula Begouin's Books.... and then decided to get her products.

so starting the end of Aug I started a regimen of;

PC Cleanser for Oily skin
then I used her 1% BHA Gel

during the day I maintained using Cetaphil SPF 15 then at night ... same as morning but I used 2% BHA liquid

So that was it for about a month until I noticed I was still getting little red pimples and bumps... so then I introduced BP again... at first I used Neutrogena on the spot.... then I ordered Dan's BP Gel.... which was ten times better....

right up till OCt I used everything the same.... but besides my less clogged pores.. no improvement came.... so I decided I needed to change something...

Then I decided that maybe I'll give up everything and strickly go to Dan's regimen.... giving up the BHA.... It didn't seem to exfoliate properly...

Anyhow in the transition of converting.... I decided I was going to do strickly Dan's recmmendation in the morning and at night instead of the BP Gel I used a mixture of Jojoba oil and Tea tree oil (15 drops of TT Oil in a 2 oz Jojoba oil)

Anyhoo.. that lasted a few days until I noticed that my face... where once VERY oily (t-zone and cheeks) was EXTREMELY dry.... and flaking like there was no tomorrow....

it's now today and I have no idea what the heck happened...

my only guess is that my skin got so used to the BHA and it forgot how to exfoliate itse;f and now is flaking... or that the BHA dried me completely out...

At first I thought maybe the Tea Tree Oil was too harse, but I only used it twice.. and as fasr as the BP GEL I didn't apply it on my cheeks.... so that wouldn't of affected it....

I'm really panicky right now and ready to cry... I feel like I've wrecked my sking and I don't know what to do... today I purchased Eucerin 5% Urea Face Cream... it has soothed my irritated flaky skin....

The main reason I wanted to give up the BHA is I used to wax my eyebrows and now I can't because of the BHA, it makes the skin too sensitive....

Has anyone ever experienced this? what do you think happend? what should I do?

Should I just strickly follow Dan's regimen STRICKLY and bare the flaking.. and hope it disappears?

any info helps PLEASE!!! smile.gif
