Retin-A can take up to 3 months to start seeing the benefits, and since you're only using it once every two days I'm not sure if it could be even longer or not. Do you use anything during the day?

Alright thought I'd update this.

Am approaching 2 months of using BP in the morning and Retin-a at nights. It has workd pretty well really, over the least few weeks I probably only get about 1-2 pimples a week. I'm going to finish up this tube of BP which should take about a month before stopping. I can't stand BP and how it makes my skin feel/look but for m it works well at stopping pimples. But I'm hoping that by the 3 month mark the retin-a will have taken full effect.

I use quite a few of the products, but not for acne.

The other thing that seems to age people is getting sunburned.

And smokers always look older!

Because smoking depletes and breaks down collagen, just like sun damage. Long term tanning + smoker= very bad combination.

Ahh, I wondered what the reason behind it was, because all long term smokers I've seen have that same dry/wrinkled look. And they are often hard core tanners too!

Yup if you want to have decent looking skin past your early 30's do not smoke. And obvisouly when it comes to smoking apperance of your skin is probably going to be one of the minor problems it causes you.

So the white basketball players and not the black ones? Hmmmm interesting now what would be the major difference there? Might have something to do with the level of sun damage...

But see we're on two different things here, you're talking about the whole body and aging in general while I'm more focused on skin apperance, and sun saftey plays a large part in good looking skin imo and many, many others.

And I'm not sure how a dermatologist would try treat practicing sun saftey with drugs.......
