I'm a 25 year old dude who still has to worry about acne breakouts. When parents tell their kids that after puberty they will outgrow their acne, well that never happened to me.  I've tried Murad, Proactive, Pola's Choice, Acne.org products, over the counter products that mainly comprised of bezoyl peroxide and salysylic acid ingredients.  I came to a conclusion that I'm allergic to BP or it's just way too harsh on my skin.

My succesful acne control came only after dermatologist prescribed meds.  Initially I've been on several topical antibiotics, then tried oral antibiotics for 3 months coupled with Differin and then Tazrac.  I've also been on sodiumsulfacetemide + sulfur like Rasula, Plaxion and Klaron. These sodium/sulfur products were amazingly effective in clearing my acne and unlike antibiotics, you don't become immune to it.  My current regimen is Tazorac 0.1% for 4 days on, 7 days off.  Even now, I'll still get breakouts on my forehead and sides depending on how much stressed out I am or how little sleep I'll get.  If I'll stop using Tazorac for a month, my face will start to break out a lot.  I also use a DDF Sulfur mask once a week to dry up any minor pimples.   In past I have used  Dan's AHA+ which was also effective.   My current regimen is satisfactory in managin my breakouts. My only wish is for my breakouts to end completely.    I also have some minor back acne that goes away and comes back at random.
