Alternate cooking oils

When I was buying Olive Oil today I noticed a few things. Macadamia Nut Oil is the first thing that came to my attention, it sounds amazing. All the benefits of Macadamias, with no carbs and full fat? Looking online I can't find much information about it however. Is it possible it could go rancid easily? Does it have a high smoke point for cooking? Unless I find something bad about it i'm buying some next time I go out.

Grapeseed Oil seems like a weird one. Where does it come from? Grapeseed is a fruit right? Where does all the fat come from to make this oil? Is it genetically modified? I'm really in the dark with this one and not too keen to try it.

Finally, Avocado Oil seems pretty straightforward, but does anyone use it? I love the taste of Avocado, but can't imagine what the oil alone tastes like. Avocado has a lot of fat naturally so I can understand the concept of Avocado Oil pretty easily. Will try it eventually.

Organ meat

Today I had some goat hearts, and I was surprised that they tasted just like meat, nothing really stood out about it apart from the look. I feel amazing right now though, like I just got a massive nutrient boost.

Recently I also tried some chicken liver, but wasn't too keen on it. It tasted a bit too strong, I suspect it was from poor quality chickens so i'm keen to try liver again from another animal, and whatever else I can find. The great thing about organ meat is that it can be really cheap, I got the goat hearts in the pet food section for 1 / 10 the price of ordinary goat meat.

Does anyone eat these regularly? What are you favourites, which tastes the best? Have you had any other parts of an animal like brains or tongue?

To relate this to acne, this is just an extension of the low-carb diet which completely cured me. People say it's restrictive but after 2 years being on it i'm still finding new food to try.

Anyone here make their own soup?

I'm delving into the realm of making soup and looking for advice and tips and recipes. I often have leftover bones from chicken or other animals that i'd like to start boiling for some soup stock. I've read that it's a good idea to put a bit of Apple Cider Vinegar in while boiling to help draw out some of the nutrients from the bone, is there any truth to this? This wouldn't make it taste too vinegary would it? I like a bit of ACV sometimes but it doesn't sound like it'd be good in soup.

Also what vegetables would be a good addition to soup, any that wouldn't get completely destroyed by the heat?

Calming foods to fight stress

We all know diet plays a large role in how we feel, does anyone have any foods they know that calm them down? I've been a little irritable lately and i'm going to change my diet a bit to see if it can help. I have a feeling my dairy consumption could be playing a role, especially because the dairy where I live is such low quality. I'm going to substitute my cheese for avocado and more fish for the next week. I'm also going to take out bacon because the preservatives could be doing something.

Searching around the net it's hard to find information about the link between food and stress, the only food i've managed to single out is celery as having specific stress fighting benefits, and avocado has been helpful in a few topics i've found in random forums. Any suggestions or experiences?

Some stupid things to do to feel better

OK so obviously a lot of people are here because they're stressed. Acne is a big problem obviously but it also creates other problems, or is the result of other problems. Here are some things you can do you might not have thought of.

1) If there's someone you hate or is annoying you, next time you see them, tell them you LOVE them. That'll either piss them off or confuse them, and amuse you. Now you own them.

2) Get angry at how stupid the first point is and continue down the list hoping for something you can actually do.

3) Jump in the air and clap the highest point you can reach. Do it several times til you get as high as you think you can get.

4) Have a cold shower for 1 minute. When it's done pump your fist that it's over and enjoy the warmth of blood pumping through your veins.

5) Go for a short walk and point at every green object. If someone asks what you're doing, tell them they have a sexy voice.

6) Post in this thread saying nothing worked, and that uncle buck is a dickhead.
