DAY 23

No new developments on the face, but the cyst on my forehead is taking a long time togo down, it doesn't hurt now though. My hands are getting drier I might have to start using the neutregena hand cream they gave me for free.

I picked up the XRAY that was taken the day of the break, they come on disc now

I'm sorry to hear about the cyst on your forehead. Yes, it realy needs some time till they heal. But its a good sign that it doesn't hurt anymore Hey and this neutrogena hand cream is good stuff. I'm using it too and I'm very pleased with the results Oh and what's about your collar-bone? Does it heal fast? I hope so!

Hey cj yep it's healing really well, depends on your age too, a 40+ year old would take a lot longer, and in some cases not even join up and need surgery, sodo it whileyour young I guess

I looked at my forehead lastnight, luckily I have a fringe because I wouldn't be going outside with my forehead exposed, it doesn't look all that great, I can feel a new one forming on my chin but it doesn't seem like anything major.

DAY 24

Just a whitehead on top right of my forehead, the other ones are slowly going down on the forehead, I think theres a small cycstic one forming next to one that has just gone down, oh well.. nothing major, still looking better than I was, and i'm only on day 24.


I've just been trying some different lip balms:

Carmex: Works really well, been told it smells nice, really gets rid of those dry lips, I think the menthol in it works really well.

Blistex in tub: Just got it today, it works really well too, also smells nice I reckon, might continue buying this stuff

Banana boat aloe vera: This doesn't seem to have much of an instant affect, I will probly use it when i'm skiing this winter, it's SPF 30

Hamiltons, vanilla: This contains everything, aloe vera, jojoba oil and all that shit, the taste is awesome, this is the one i dropped on the ground, i'll be searching for this one again.

I seriously think everyone can prevent cracking lips if they put lip balm on religiously and not being lazy shits, day 24 and they only begin to get dry and bad if I don't put it on for several hours, or maybe I just got it good.

What brand of Accutane are you on and how many mg are you on. Has your derm talked about whether or not he will increase the dosage? Your results are incredible considering how short of time you've been on it.

Im in Australia, it's a generic brand called 'Oratane' and i'm on 60mg, 2 tablets in morning and one and night, I usually take them with milk.

He suggested I start on 40mg for 2 weeks and if there are limited side affects go to 60mg, but I started on 60mg because the higher the dose you take the longer your skin stays clear when off tane. I go back in 2 months to get a new script and see how it's going and what else needs to be done.

Lookin pretty good. The thing thats suck about healing is the damn redness that follows the breakouts. Irritating!

Is there such a thing as IB #2? If there is I think I may be getting it, i'm not happy with 3 things poppingup on my chin, and a big whitehead on my right cheek

Nothing new has popped up thank goodness, just still those ones that popped up on my chin the other day. Overall i'd say it's going well, but i'm so looking forward to being completely clear, I still have a few active bumps on my forehead as well, and two sore ones on my right cheek, piss off

Oh and dryness has now gone down my forearms, have to moisturise there too, this stuff is GREAT

DAY 27 not good
Damn it it isn't looking to great today, the ones on my right cheek are very cystic and have whiteheads ontop of them that I just had to pop, well I popped one of them, it's very depressing. The one that has taken 2 weeks to go from my forehead is now just one HUGE whitehead, to pop or not to pop.. get better already fuck

Hey man be strong. Often it get worse before it get better. But I'm sure at the end all will be fine.

I guess it is getting a bit better again my face now, I kinda pick the dead skin/scabs on my chin, but now when I pick them it leaves a red stain so i'll try and avoid that now, the cystic ones on my cheek are going down as well.. I have this HUGE cystic red one on my left shoulder blade, something I hope I never cop on my face!

..About hair loss, I swear im shedding more hair, which is what I dreaded going on to accutane, I don't know if it is enough to be noticeable or I am over exaggerating but when I ruffle my hair at least 1-2 small strands will come out and i'm getting really worried

Yes it is the danish band Saybia! The song in my sig is from there first cd "The Second You Sleep". Yeah and you're right "Brilliant Sky" is also a fantastic song. It's from there second album "These Are The Days". I love both! But dude I'm a bit surprised that you know them. Are the popular in australia. I dunno? I really hope I can see them live one day!

Hey its good that the face is getting a bit better again. Awr and I know what you're talking about regarding the huge cyst on your shoulder. I had some of them too. But better on the shoulder than in the face! Right!Hope it will heal soon.

And about the hair loss. Don't worry about it! I think its normal. If the amount of hair you lose is less than 100 a day its no problem. But you're right I also lose some hair. But I think we're a lot more sensitive about it cos we know that it could be a side effect of tan. So don't worry!

Well I guess it's all good news, nothing bad really.. nothing popped up when I shaved, and nothing major popped up since I had my whinge so it's on the mend again. In some mirrors it looks really good and i'm really confident in myself, not that i'm not already but you get boosted even more with clear skin, then you'll get a climpse somewhere and be like WHOA wtf, I think it's the redness causing it to look kind of bad.

I'll post some pics up in a week or two for you, here are some of the comments i've had from people since starting tane

'Why is your face falling off'
'Your skin is dry as haha'
'Your skin is looking a lot better'

I actually had a friend start a week after me, so it's good to have someone else on it.

DAY 39

Still going great, but a huge cyst has formed on my forehead, I haven't had one cyst on my cheek for a while, touch wood. Hope none form again either, there is basically nothing active on my face besides a few whiteheads the size of a pin prick which you can't even see.. maybe that's a good thing because I never used to get small whiteheads, is it a sign of everything going down or something?, and the cyst on my forehead, which my hair covers

Just a quickie, are there any creams that reduce redness? Doesn't seem to red in the pics, but it really is.
