Do you apply it to the whole face, or just spot treat certain spots. Its a 4% cream. And my spots are so close together, I think I might as well apply it to my whole face evenly. will that work. I always hear to treat the whole face, what exactly does hydroquinone do?

Do u need a prescription? If i do see a doctor and get the prescription, i might as well just get it from the pharmacy for the cheapest price of 15$.

Plastic surgeons offices and medical spas with skin specialists can also prescribe 4%, and the consultations are usually free. If your current doctor doesn't even know what hydroquinone is, it might be best to see a specialist who can tell you what exactly will work best on your skin type. The place i went to threw in some extra samples of facewash, lotion, etc. from the line of products they sell, and they're fantastic.

How long does it take to see results from a 4% cream. I'm starting to see results from using the pimple eraser, which is mainly glycolic acid, so they are showing improvement.

I think derms say two - three months for 4% hydro. Your're seeing results with glycolic? Awesome.

when i use it twice a day my pores seem to be getting black, does anyone else notice this? I can see tiny black dots scattered around the areas that I use the hydroquinone. They all go away when I stop using it, but that's weird. And my red marks seem to be less spotty now that Im using it. Instead of having spots all over my cheeks which i usually do, they look more spread out and now my cheeks just look red but the spots are less noticeable. hope that makes sense. it seems to be helping...

Too powerful? Ay yo, you'll never guess what happened in school today. I was a at lunch and I was arguin with this one bitch at my table, and we argue almost everyday, so no big deal. But today, she had her friends there to back her up, so I guess she was tryin to show off or whatever, but she called me ugly. What? I've never seriously been called ugly, I dont know if she was serious or not, but with my PIH spots on my face, I tend to take things like that seriously. Calling me ugly with the spots on my face is like calling an fat person fat, my confidenece and self esteem was already low, but after that it took the rest away. I know that she used to like me a couple of months back, so I figure if she was serious, its because of the spots. i was pissed off. I cant wait for this 4% hydroquinone to come, and for these marks to leave me alone, so I can get back to normal, and turn her bitch ass down. same thing happened last year. This one girl liked me, and I mean she really liked me (loved me somehow). One day, I got burned on my face by a splash of hot water. i had a band-aid on my face for about a week, and she didnt talk to me anymore. she acted like I was invinsible, and she didnt even bother to ask what happened to me. I had a band-aid on for a week, and then when it came off, I was left with a brown spot, but it cleared up in about 2 weeks. After the burn mark disappeared, here she comes trying to talk to me again, so it was my turn to ignore her. i straight up dissed her, told her to her face in public that I didnt like her. she deserved it. Anyway, how is it that a burn mark disppears in a week, but an acne PIH stays for months. How long does it take for 4% hydroquinone to work, so I can RUB IT IN HER FACE. i HATE PHONY girls, so this is a good experience for one reason only, I know who i should be with, and who I should cut the phuck off. theres already one girl on my bus who likes me, but i dont want to ask her out yet because of the spots and my low confidence level right now. I cant wait for this to clear up.

i hate to burst your bubble my friend but these things just don't go away instantly. You can put on hydroquinone and in a week or 2 have it vanish. I have been struggling with these marks for many years now. The old ones have vanished and when you get a breakout new ones appear. I have been dealing with my current red marks since November 05 and I have been getting them lasered plus hydroquinone 4%. It all depends on how red your marks are i guess, but I wouldn't count on having them vanish in a couple weeks.

Does anyone know if hydroquinone helps with red marks. Most people say they have brown marks and i know it helps with the brown, but does it do anything for the red?

In a week or 2, that is fast. I dont really need them gone like tomorrow, but i dont want to have to go through summer with them. I have 2 months of school left, so I want atleast a month of clear even skin.

Yeah, sorry...I should edit that hehe. The Dermesse gallery is my before and after shots from me using 4% hydroquinone (Dermesse brand) in a little over three and a half weeks. The picture of my chin is how it looks now without makeup, but when I spread my skin apart you can see tons of those little white bumps..not sure what they are.

The other album is from when I took the no-picking challenge for a few days, and I recommend it to everyone. My skin healed from red marks 20 times better than when I picked at it.
