im gonna get some tomorrow. I pretty much have all my acne under control except for some acne on the front of my neck..thanks to this diet. I think it may be hormonal.. I will let you all know how it works for me.

Has anyone seen any vegetarian capsules for the broccoli pills.. I won't take gelatin.. Maybe I could pour the contents of the capsule into water?? DOES THIS WORK. ?? Anyone know. ?

Frogprince - I was just wondering how long it took for you to see results.
I'm also still wondering about iodine...

todays my fourth day on the broccolive pills and although I added a new food to my diet that is causing a slight breakout I think that the broccoli pills are helping to battle it and are definately reducing the pimple activity on my neck... WOOHOO broccoli pills do work... im thinking its related to my thyroid.

I went to the Vitamin Shoppe today! I bought Broccoli Pills, and I also bought Vitamin A 10,000 IU (in beta-carotene form). I'm not sure if I should take both or maybe just take one at a time for a week or two and see how it works. I also bought Vitamin A and E oil for topical treatment and I think I'm going to get some Tea Tree oil too to use as a disinfectant. I hope something works!

I went to the Vitamin Shoppe yesterday and got their 500mg broccoli I think. Anyway, I popped 4 in... and I'll reduce it to 2-3 now. I doubt we can overdose on broccoli.. but drink lots of fluids just in case =)

Chlorophyll and lemon

Chlorophyll is one of the best ways to detoxify the colon fast. Your colon needs to be detoxified constantly to prevent toxins from getting into your blood and seeping into your facial skin where they can create acne. It also helps the skin keep healthy by acting as an

* antioxidant

* anti-inflammatory

* anti-microbial agent

* absorber of heavy metals in the colon

Here are some of the benefits you will get from drinking chlorophyll,

* Heals open wounds inside your body

* Increases re-growth of tissues

* Helps to heal sores in your mouth

* Acts as a antiseptic

* Destroys bacteria

* Brings more oxygen to your cells

* Give protection from low levels of radiation such as TV, computers, microwaves, and hospital equipment

* Reduces toxins in the colon and body

* Helps to purify the liver

* Helps sores heal faster

* Reduces pain from inflammation

Here̢۪s how to prepare it first thing in the morning,

* Place 2-3 tablespoon of plain liquid chlorophyll in an 8 oz glass

* Squeeze the juice of one whole lemon into the glass

* Add distilled water to fill the 8 oz glass.

The reason I add one lemon to this drink is to give this drink some flavor. I have a hard time just drinking chlorophyll and water. It has a bland taste. You may try adding the chlorophyll to some other drink if you like.

You cannot overdose on chlorophyll liquid that is why I sometimes drink 2 ounces plus the juice of one lemon in an 8 oz glass of water.

OMG! The broccoli pills work! I was sceptical at first wondering when I would break out with more cysts after taking this stuff but now I'm a believer. I did break out a little at first but I think that my body was either getting use to me not taking any other supplements or the broccoli enzymes were causing a major detox in my body. All that I have been taking now have been 4 Vitamin Shoppe brand broccoli caps and 1 very good one a day multi-vitamin that has no iodine and very low b12. That is 2 broccoli pills in the morning and 2 in the evening. Nice biggrin.gif

I feel that everyone should at least try it for a week if nothing else has been working. It's broccoli so you can't go wrong!

I have been a long acne veteran.
I hardly post anymore because I am pretty much clear and I don't worry about it anymore.

With hardwork in research and experimentation, after four years, I went from having 60 cysts on my face
to almost none.

If you are curious to know how much I've been through.
go to here:
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php...topic=87851&hl=

However, I would always have to maintain such a strict regimen with topical and oral medications, as well as a diet. It got stressful and irritating sometimes when I wanted to indulge but couldn't knowing that it would break me out.

Recently, things changed.

A few weeks ago, I went to Vitamin Shoppe and I bought Broccoli Pills . I bought it with the intention of using it as a substitute for vegetables when I forgot to prepare my vegetables. Being a working student and all, preparing food isn't always convenient, so therefore, I wanted to take the pills so at least I would be getting the nutrients.

Anywayz, that same week was one of my most stressful weeks with exams and papers, it was also one of the weeks were I indulged HEAVILY. I eat really unhealthy, oily food almost entirely that week. Pizza, chinese food. candy, chocolates, incream. everything. Having been a veteran, I knew my face would break out.

I got really lazy that I didn't take my supplements (Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Flax seed oil) in my cabinet. I stopped going to the gym. With heavy indulging and no supplements, I knew my face was committing suicide.

Despite my chronic laziness and indulging, I still managed to take my damn Broccoli Pills simply because they were on my dining table already.

Amazingly. I've had no breakouts. Nothing. Ever since I started taking Broccoli Pills I've had no break outs.

This week, I tried out my experiment again. Same results. No breakouts.

Does anybody have any opinions on this?

I was thinking that broccoli would be high in Vitamin A, but the nutrition facts don't say that there is Vitamin A. Instead. it is just 500mg of broccoli. I know that it is the Broccoli pills because this is the ONLY supplement I am taking.

here is the product I am taking:

http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/brow....jsp?id=VS-1514

Any opinions thoughts? i

AcneMonster, did the brocolli pills completely clear you up? When did you see positive results?

I am still not 100% clear but people like my frends and family have noticed a difference. It took about a week before I noticed an improvement. I am still getting pimples on my back though. What's weird is that lately since I started taking the broccoli I noticed that a pimple in cyst form under the skin would start but then die by the next day. Odd? I am now pushing 30 years old with hope that I could be clear by then so I will be mixing this with some other stuff that I was taking before this experiment to see if I can at least reach the 99% clear mark as I would be happy with that.

BTW I have tried everything from extreme diet change (vegan for 2 months eusa_hand.gif ) to buying so many suppliments (B5 included) over the years that I am almost ready to give up... NOT! One thing that I should point out is that when I was a vegan I was clearest on the days after I ate a lot of broccoli. Hmmm interesting...

If the broccoli pills are working, then it may be your thyroid. Try going off food with iodine especially iodine salt, sea salt, kelp and seafood for a couple of days and see if it improves further. Let us all know! thanks!

10,000IU of vitamin A? but the recommended daily amount of vit A from all sources is only 2500IU... and i remember hearing that it becomes toxic in larger doses because it is fat soluble and can build up in the body. are you sure taking that much is gonna be ok?

its beta carotene form so the body only takes what it needs or something like that. Its not as toxic as regular vitamin a.
