Just to let you know, the bloccoli pills only had an "effect" on acne for about 3-6 weeks. That means they clear your skin completely around week three for a few days and then the results start dissipating.

I've been on it since 2006, and I dont just take vitamins to kill money. When i reduced the amount from two pills a day to one pill a day, i broke out more than usual. When I went back to two pills a day, my acne kept a bay. Also everyone is different. I was on minocin/minocyclne (antiobiotics) over ten years and many people had good success with it temporarily and stopped, but I had success with it the whole ten years, the reason why i stopped is because I knew it was bad for me in the long run so I decided to stop. Point is, everyone is different so you cant say broccoli pills is a temporary fix.

I know, thanks. I read the whole thread. I'm taking it for endo first, acne second, but I think the two are related. Also, my skin is *basically* clear right now, but I am afraid of future breakouts, so I want to see if this keeps them away. We'll see...

It is said Broccoli has iodine in it. But it also said it blocks iodine absorption. To me these two statement contrdict each other, so which one is right? I break out from fish and fish oil, so I think iodine is a trigger for me. If broccoili blocks iodine absorption, maybe that could be part of the reason it works for some. Any comments?

You might already know this but the broccoli pills were working because they had DIMM in them. They only stopped acne for about 4 weeks and then stopped working. No one could figure out why.

Hancho, how much do you spend on supplements and how long do you intend to keep going with that list of supplements you've got.

UPDATE...

The BroccoMax is working! eusa_dance.gif Since my last post I had started to take 2 of these caps a day plus a multivitamin and my skin looks even better than before. I've even catch more women staring and smiling at me! My face is steadily clearing and only a few hardy pimples (barely noticable) and scars remain. One thing I should point out though is that I am still getting body acne. Zinc cleared that up before so maybe after a week or two, I may add extra zinc back to my regimen. I live in Chicago, IL and it has been very hot here so that might explain the small pimples (not cysts anymore!) on my body.

To sum it up, I am very pleased with the results so I hope it lasts for a long long time. Since the broccoli is a food, hopefully it won't have the same side effect of herbs like stop working all of a sudden. If anything new happens good or bad I will post it in this thread.

Anyone else with good results or using the same broccoli supplements that I am?

Almost forgot to add, now I really think that it is the sulforaphane that is killing the acne! This broccoli supplement has the highest concentration of sulforaphane I could find.

Hi AcneMonster,

Thanks for all your updates. I know it's been a looong time since this conversation went on, but I have a question - I just started taking Broccolive plus pills (too soon to tell) and am wondering if the bottle has to mention that it contains sulforaphane, or if broccoli sprouts naturally have it. I looked up Broccomax which states on the bottle its sulforaphane content, but Broccolive doesn't mention it at all. Does that mean it's not in those pills? Thanks to anyone who can answer!
