Has anyone had any success with the Clinique 3-Step? I'm using it now after soooo many people told me how good it is so I thought i'd atleast have a go. Doesn't seem to do much more than any other products, which are cheaper. It doesn't really clear up your acne but it does make your skin itself better I think. Necessary? Probably not. I'm sure there are other things that could give better results. I'm also using their new Turnaround Mask which is quite good though, my scars are disappearing and the redness from them isn't so bad now. Not sure how good it is to use though as it's microdermabrasion - so like a chemical peel. Is that really healthy to sell in an open store?

nope. it's really harsh stuff, especially for english skin.

Broke me out in boils - many people on this site said the same.

I used Dan's regimen for over a year, and my skin was relatively calm...still had little bumps but i rarely got any actual pimples. Then, out of nowhere, my skin started breaking out in painful pimples during the winter, and I was running out of the 'treatment' so I decided to switch over to Clinique's 3-step. The girl at the Clinique counter rated me a type 4, but since it was the holidays, they had great holiday packages for types 2 and 3, so she just gave me a type 3. Clinique actually REALLY cleared up my skin for the first two months, then I started getting pimples...the ones that hurt if you touch them. I thought maybe it was just my hormones being weird or something, but it persisted and I had a lot of painful pimples. I finally reordered Dan's treatment and I'm trying to get my skin back to how it used to be since now, it's pretty broken out and I have a lot of scars. This is really disappointing because my skin was so clear the first couple weeks on Clinique.

I hated Clinique's 3 step system. I think the products are too harsh and way too irritating. It made me break out bad, which I've never done as a result of switching products. I will never buy the system again. Needless to say, I returned everything less than a week later. Another thing, it's really expensive!!!!!

I thought it was actually pretty good. I've been using it for a while, and while it does make your skin a little dry, if you use the yellow daily moisturizer, that fixes the problem. My skin is pretty sensitive, but after i used it a few times with the moisturizer, it didn't sting or become dry.

I totally agree!!

I severely dislike Clinique's 3 Step System (both the regular and medicated versions). It seems to get good reviews (at least on acne.org) but in my opinion it's not worth the money! The acne version mixes salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide, a combination that is way way too harsh for me. I now avoid all products that contain salicylic acid. It clearly works well for some people, but not for me. Caused me to break out bad –and i’m talking deep, painful pimples (not the type I usually get). My acne/skin became so inflamed and irritated. Many people talk about Clinique being “so great” but I think that it’s overhyped and overpriced. The disappointment would have been easier to swallow if I could have gotten my money back, but alias I wasn’t able to.

Bought it, tried it.
Didn't help with getting rid of acne, but it did somehow control the breakouts, i think?
I still have the products and I don't think they're not good, actually I think they're good for ppl with tolerant skin.
The cleanser is not as gentle, as i thought it would be but it's OK.
The tonic, now, is really harsh. At least for me. What's amazing about it - Wow, when I first applied it my whole face was...how should I say...like when you put a super mentol chewing gum in your mouth and you get this super fresh feeling. It's the same. It's not just the smell, the feeling is actually deep in your skin.
Now, the moisturizer is quite good. I liked the lotion better.
