are you sure about that? i'm afraid i am using the wrong thing. i used naturally clean last night. i think classic clean is not available here in our country. but so far, my face got a little clearer. i notice it specially that dark spots have lightened a lot. o well, i'll be updating you about this. thanks a lot for replying. smile.gif you made my day!!

Yes, I'm sure. biggrin.gif
I'm using one for 'dry scalp', and still have been getting great results, so I don't think you've got to worry too much.

I'm gonna give the H & Shoulders Classic Clean a go for my back. Can I ask how much you should use? Do you just wash your hair and let it run down the back - or apply it 'neat'/undiluted directly to the back?

Sorry if someone's given these details. Thanks

Can this stuff be used as the replacement for a cleanser for any regimen? Cos I'm using other topicals and don't want to mess up the whole process.

Also, aren't Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfate meant to be massive acne-causing ingredients??

I'm pretty sure they are just abrasive and a bit irritating. To combat this i just wash with it every other night. and use cetaphil every morning and every other night

hey man i been using head and shoulders just as a regular body wash and shampoo... i squirt some in a loofah type thing and wash my entire body with it doesnt matter how much u use on ur body just the regular amount.... i would give my back and chest a nice scrub morning and night and it took 3 months to clear totally... its now 1 year 5 months later and im still clear as a babys but... i even have my original posts when i started in this thread http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php...lders&st=80

good luck

Hi SomeGuyDude,

Brilliant - thanks for that! Glad to hear it worked for you. Haven't read your original post yet but now you're long term clear did the H&S fade any old marks or is that another process...

Thanks again for the advice.

yea at this point there are no marks on my chest or back just the freckles i had to begin with! but yea after i got cleared i just kinda forgot about acne down there and before i even knew it there was no marks... btw it was pretty moderate when i had it... i would have those painful cysts and even blackheads on my chest (gross)!

I do suggest though if its pretty bad for you or maybe just to get the process going faster use Nature's Cure Acne Body Spray twice a day too... and what i would do when it would get low is just by some 100% tea tree oil and dillute with water to make it like 5-10% concentration (i would just douse it in there never hurt when i put more) and mix with whatevers left in the bottle and spray with that.... both worked great even though the TTO has a very strong smell

one last thing... took about 3 months to clear

Excellent. Thanks for the tips. I have started to notice a change for the better. My back's not too bad (compared to some) but certainly visible acne which bothers me - hopefully the H&S will help me get (and keep) it clear. Thereafter it's just the blemish marks left from old acne - so I'll try your Nature's Cure - I might even look into getting one of those salon peels to take away the worst of it...

Thanks again

Head and shoulders works well on my chest and back. However the past week I have tried it on my Face, and how much do I wish I hadnt. Ive been breaking out with 2+ spots everyday, some of which are large painful cysts and I havent looked this bad in years.

Been using the H & S on the back for about a week.....seems like its really going to work so far....drying everything up, especially a couple big cystic ones. They have gone done very quickly, and usually those kind can linger a lot longer.....i do it twice a day for between 5-10 minutes each time, depending on how dry my skin feels (if its dry i will do less). Be careful to keep it off of your neck, because it can burn there. i go on my shoulders and back.

It also used to itch a decent amount too and now after using the shampoo it doesnt at all. Im quite pleased so far.

I've been trying this too. I've found it makes my skin under my eyes next to my nose burn a little. I wash really fast and then rinse it off really fast because my skin is sensitive. I have noticed it is drying my acne smile.gif

i used it for 3 days. 2 of witch i left on overnight, plus washing with in the morning. the first 2 days made me all red and the pimples all dried all up, but then my shoulders and chest turned into reptile skin. there was no oil and the skin was cracking and it hurt to move. i havent used it in about a week and my shoulders are just recovering.

Does Head and Shoulders dry scalp care work too? It contains sodium laureth sulfate though...
