Does getting my face wet affect my acne at all? Like I use my medication, I rub it all in. Is it ok to get my face wet during the day? I dont get those nasty streaks or flakiness when I do. I'm just asking will it affect anything?

After the BP absorbs into your pores, you don't have to worry about it getting wet or coming off. It works invisibly, so its not necessary to see it in order to believe it! Good luck. O:)

Well I dont use BP. I use salycic acid, which comes in liquid form not cream. Which is why i never got those streaks to begin with.

oh. yeah, salicylic acid is different. I wonder if there are any waterproof formulas for people who get wet daily ( swimmers, etc).

Well Im not sure what you mean by water proof since when you put the medication on it should go INTO your skin not stay ON it. Im not worried about peeling like some of you are who put the BP on and leave it on to dry on your face and make things 10x worse. Im worreid if getting my face wet can worsen my acne in general, disregarding what medication I'm using. I think it shouldn't do anything since it's just water, the most pure substance in the world.

by "waterproof" i meant that water wouldn't any less effective. nomatter how wet you got. you could wash it off with some kind of cleanser, but not just water. your best bet would be to bring some little bottle/tube/container of your salicylic acid with you so you can reapply every so often after getting wet. sorry i can't provide more help.

I only apply SA morning and night, any more than that would be too much and irritate my skin. I need a reply from someone who knows for sure.
