Here is my situation:

I was on accutane 4 years ago and started breaking out again about 6 months ago. I got a prescription for doxycycline in December and used it until febuary. After I stopped taking it my acne went downhill and I started breaking out worse and worse. I made an apt. with my derm and said I wanted accutane again. He said that I should try Yasmin birth control for 2 months and gave me a topical prescription for klaron. I was upset but I kept trying to get better. At this time I started the doxycycline again. After 2 weeks I couldnt stand the fact that i wasnt getting better and just wanted to start accutane (since its the only thing that helped and I had already tried all of these medications since age 14). So i made an appt. again and the day before my appt i wrote and dropped off a page long letter to my derm persuading him to give me acctuane and telling him how the acne is ruining my life. The next day was my appt and he had already read the letter... and was leaning towards giving me accutane but then said he wanted me to give it one more month... i looked at him ready to cry, and he asked if that was okay, i said fine as long as your not saying no indefinetly.

Since then it has been a week and a half and I have been driving myself crazy with this. It just kills me because i am 99% certain ill end up back on accutane and i just want to get it going already. I know it takes time to do bloodwork and what not. So i am tempted to make another appt this week to go and basically demand it somehow. I just dont want to piss him off but i am honestly going crazy right now. He techically doesnt want to see me for another 3 weeks but if i can get him to say yes it will be worth it to start sooner. I know i am being very very impatient but i cannot stand to know that i am just prolonging my bad skin. It is beginning to scar my left cheek and I am at my all time worse since 4 years ago. I have been on this board for the past month and i think everyone on here is absolutely great. So my need for advice is what do you think i can do/say to persuade my doctor to give me the presciption for accutane? I need to come up with good points in order to convince him. Also do you think if i show up again in his office this week he will give in and say yes or will it just piss him off and ruin my chances? I would really like to see what you all think because i know everything is different looking at a situation from the outside... thank you all for reading and helping... it really means a lot

Keep at him and show how much its affecting you even if it means tears. Have sent you PM.
