First of all, let me just share a little bit about my skin.. Its oily, yet dry.. it breaks out, but it also flakes off and tightens up. ive tried just about every OTC product. right now my derm has me using duac at night. im moisturizing with aloe vera gel for the moment but i need some changes. i was wondering about oils. I want to try tea tree oil because ive heard great things about it but i also need something to prevent/stop dryness. Is jojoba oil, or honey better? can i get these at places like target/walmart/etc..? Im planning on going shopping today and i was just wondering what i should buy and where to buy it. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

i have skin like yours, right after washing, its dry, flaky, and tight, but after a couple of hours its all oily with dry patches on my neck
i just brought jojoba and tea tree oils yesterday, and i'm loving it. the only trouble spots i have now is on my next, i can put about a whole bottle of lotion on it and it'll still be dry, very annoying lol.
i brought my oils at a local organic foods store, just look in your phone book and call some store like that andask them if they carry it. jojoba might be a little better then honey since you can have it on all day.

The only reason i wouldnt do that is because i have a feeling jojoba oil is going to be a little harder to get my hands on.. While i can just go buy some honey.. but i have a feeling you dont just use regular honey.. does it have to be organic or anything? Anyone?

Hiya x
Yep! DUAC is absolute shite compared to Dan's CSR BP.. Dan's is way less drying and 10 x more effective. Although I've heard alot of people talk about jojoba oil and how wonderful it is, I haven't tried it myself.
What cleanser and moisturiser are you currently using? Check out my sig for the products I use (trust me - discovered through months of trial and error).. also have you tried taking any multivitamins too? and drinking loads and loads of water? It really helps to hydrate your skin.
Hey!
So what yall are saying is instead of using duac i should just be using a BP gel/cream? The duac was effective for like the first.. 2 weeks or so but yeah, my skin has returned to normal now. Im currently using a [generic] brand transparent facial bar.. and moisturizing with aloe vera.. i havent tried multi-vitamins but i do take flinstones.. lol.. the kid in me never got over those. ;P i did try the water thing for about.. 2 weeks or so and i dont remember any drastic improvements.. but i guess i should give it another shot.. Thanks for the reply. Yall are all so helpful!!!

I found the Duac to be pretty good compared to whatever I've had before, it REALLY dried my skin out for the first coupla weeks of using it but now it doesn't make my skin go berserk anymore and is pretty good at drying out the spot areas.
Another quick question... I am also taking Oxytetracylin tablets, and I'm instructed to take 2 twice a day when they start and after a little while have 2 once a day. Would it work much better if I had 4 in one go??
I know it probably isn't good for me but I was at a point with a bad breakout where I just thought "Ahh bollocks to it" and just done it, and it hasn't made me feel bad or anything, but just wanted to know if it would work quicker?
