I just started the routine last week. I put on very small amounts of BP,
only on select areas of my face.

The first day, it seemed to help a little. But then the second day, I
got a few new pimples. The third day, I noticed that my skin was very
red and itchy. By the fourth day, my face felt like it was swollen, parts
of the skin were red and puffy. So I stopped applying BP, but I continued
with the Moisterizer The next few days were hell, my face itched like
mad and was bright red.

It's finally starting to get a little better now. Parts of my face still itches
a lot, and overall my face is pretty dry.

Is this normal? I know everyone says theres some itching or redness
initially, but I feel like I have a rash. Am I allergic to BP? Remember,
I only used a very small amount each time.

Ouched you are probably allergic to the bp. I am allergic to glycolic acid. I thought I got poison ivy on my chin but the derm said it was an allergy and I could not use the stuff again. Being a woman I waited awile and tried again, same thing. You should probably look for another way to clear up.

You may be allergic & then again, you may not be. I had the same reaction & still do any time I get BP on my neck. The skin on my neck stages a revolt!!! I get so itchy I could cry & my neck is flame red. However, my face tolerates the BP without issue. Go figure!
