Dan or anyone else:
I noticed that dan puts so much emphasis on not touching or irritating the skin, and that made me wonder if there may be some kind of connection between acne and how one sleeps. When I sleep on my side, my face is in constant contact with the pillow, rubbing against the pillow cover and whatever oil/dirt/sweat might have accumulated there. Do you think this could cause minor irritation? If I slept on my back , my face wouldn't contact the pillow at all.
I've always slept on my side, but i'm just wondering if trying to sleep on my back more would help my acne? Has anyone tried the experiment?
Thanks!

what I do is change my pillow cases every 3-4 days, wash your face and hair before laying on pillow. And sleep on it with your hair, you can still do laying sideways, just way on the bottom of the pillow do your hair is touching the pillow and not your face.

I asked this same question a while back and most people said that no, it doesn't matter if you sleep on your side. I now sleep on my side and it has not increased any amount of pimples i get. I only change my pillows cases once a week but i personally wouldn't lose sleep over this.
