Hello all Im new to this site and find it wonderful, i never thought there might be a place to commisserate with so many great people.
I have suffered from acne for years, but in recent months i have developed cysts on my head---my derm has been very aloof and hasnt offered me much consolation except pills, but few words. Will the cycts ever go away? One has been there since december 15 and the other, about one month---i made the mistake of trying to break them not realizing at first what they were----they have gotten much better than the nightmares they first were, but dont seem to be totally leaving anytime soon---what is an average time??? will they definitely scar? I would so much appreciate an informed response!! THank you all

I wouldn't take any meds for them, personally. That being said, you have to do what you feel that you need to do. When you say cysts on your "head," do you mean your face? It really sounds like it could be a problem with fungus. I would go on an anti-fungal diet and see where that takes me. Initially, when I was trying to clear my skin, I went on this diet and it seriously made my skin so much better.

It depends on so many things whether or not they will go away. where are they on your head? If they are under your hair try cutting your hair shorter and an oil balancing shampoo.
