Hi all.

I've had mild acne on and off since I was 15 (I'm 28 now). I never tried any real regimen in the past to clear up my face, but I came across Dan's site and decided to make a conscious effort to follow it.

Here's what I'm using:

Cleanser: Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (220 mL)
Benzoyl Peroxide: Neutrogena Clear Pore On-the-Spot Acne Treatment
Moisturizer: Neutrogena Moisture Sensitive Skin (120 mL)
Shaving cream: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream (150 mL)

When I started the regimen two nights ago, my acne was pretty bad. The next morning when I performed the morning regimen routine, my face looked *worse* than it did the previous day. I was so upset that I didn't even leave the house. I spent the whole day checking on my face to see if there was at least a little improvement.

By the evening, however, I started to see a small change. My skin looked smoother, and my acne scars weren't as noticeable as they were that morning and afternoon. By the time I did the evening regimen routine, I could see that things were getting even better. By this morning (only the third time doing the regimen routing), there was significant change. My face was red (like Dan said it would be) and irritated, but my face looked better than it had for many, many weeks.

I'm very glad I came across acne.org. I just can't believe I waited this long to do anything about my skin condition. Now I just have to be patient and hope that I don't get any allergies to the products I'm using! And the day my face doesn't sting and get red will be a day to remember for sure!

Keep with it RyanM- I'm going on my third week and am thrilled! I too can't believe it took me so long to find Dan (I'm older than you and have been plagued by acne for years) I just want to add my thanks to Dan- this board and your regimen are great, much better than any derm I've been to. RyanM, the redness and dryness left me in the second week and I've had only one breakout!! Even my cysts are disappearing!! I hope it goes as well for you as it has for me O:)

Thanks for the input, maral. I'm glad to see that the regimen is helping you as well.

After the second morning on the regimen, my face is still improving. It's still a little red, and the bp cream/moisturizer combo really makes my face feel like it's on fire, but I know that's only temporary. This morning, I woke up and noticed a bit of flaking. I'd have put on some moisturizer, but it really doesn't look that bad. I'm still amazed that there is such a big improvement after only a couple of days on the regimen. Oops. I hope I didn't just jinx myself there!

Good luck, everyone.

The stinging went away after several days (when skin gets used to the stuff) Scar, do you always wait 20 minutes? I'd have to get up at 4am!

I've been following Dan's advice and waiting about 10 minutes between the bp and moisturizer. And, following some methods some of you are doing, I am no longer applying moisturizer in the evening. I'll wait a few more minutes before applying the moisturizer in the morning.
