1. Did you oil reduce? And if so, by how much?
2. How long did it take you before you noticed an improvement?
3. What were some of your side-effects.
4. What was your dosage when you started and what is it right now?
5. How long do you plan on taking it?

Thanks. biggrin.gif

1. Did you oil reduce? And if so, by how much? The first 2 weeks my oil did decrease a lot! I have really oily skin and I would have to use several of those oil absorbing sheets but then I noticed I only had to use one and wasn't even filling it all up. I was on like 1-3 grams at first. The first 2 weeks is when I noticed the most oil reduction but now it's more oily but still not like it used to be.
2. How long did it take you before you noticed an improvement? During the first week I saw improvement. I had acne all over my cheeks and the sides of my chin that I could not get rid of and I was trying since around Thanksgiving (That's when my face exploded after my microdermabrasions). Within the 2nd week my cheeks were mostly clear and now they are completely clear and I've had like maybe one or two pimples on my cheeks since then.
3. What were some of your side-effects. In the beginning I had headaches but I don't get them anymore.
4. What was your dosage when you started and what is it right now? I started with 1 gram because I was scared about taking so much. Now I'm on 5-6 grams a day.
5. How long do you plan on taking it? I don't plan on taking so much for that much longer. I'm just gonna work my way down and see what happens.

Thats like saying Accutane doesnt clear acne, it only reduces oil...

It clears acne by reducing oil, and im pretty sure it makes it so the oil that does come, isnt as sticky or pore clogging anymore(B5 i mean).

accutane is 100 times stronger than b5.. im not saying that b5 doesnt work...it reduces pore size by reducing oil... as for you... i can see that youre taking b5 as part of your regimen... are you completely clear???

1. Did you oil reduce? And if so, by how much?
my forehead and nose use to constantly glistening with oil. if i rubbed my forehead with my hand my hand would have lots of oil on it. now though its barely anything, so much so in fact that its not even a concern to me anymore
2. How long did it take you before you noticed an improvement?
i noticed a improvement in redness within the first week, i did however experience two breakouts the first one fairly bad, after 6 days, and the second after about 11 days. now however i barely have anymore acne appearing
3. What were some of your side-effects.
side affects are non-existant as far as i can tell. i do poo 2 or 3 times a day though. this maybe be attritbuted to the amount of oranges i now eat though.
4. What was your dosage when you started and what is it right now?
i started at 3g and increased to 10g within a week, and now have settled at 6g of time release mixed with various other vitamins and such(clear5)
5. How long do you plan on taking it?
i plan on taking my current dose for atleast another month, at which point ill reduce the dosage to a progressively lower level till a maintance point is achieved

in response to chaos; accutane is not 100 times stronger than b5, it is simply a derivative of vitamin a. accutane is a synthetic vitamin while b5 is a naturally occuring one. b5 regimens have been shown to provide results rivalling those of accutane. you should be less bold in such frivolous statements.

i started using d-calcium pantothenate a week ago and the first days i got huge pimples on my forehead and my cheeks but they are starting to disappear already. i've had acne for seven years, and i've never seen anything work as fast as d- calcium panthotenate. i recommend buying it at
http://www.superiornutraceuticals.com/prod.../Acne_Blast.htm
i got a one kilogram bottle for about $30.00
it is not 100% d-calcium panthotenate.it is 91.5% b5 but it works.i'm taking 10 grams a day.what i don't like is the taste,it is the worst thing i've ever had. and the headaches,it also makes me sleepy.

It can, but taking Biotin with it will most likely make it so you dont experience that.

I don't have especially oily skin, so maybe taking b5 might not be the best idea for me? Anyone know?

i don't even think it's reducing the oil either. i'm was taking twinlab's b-5 caps with a dose of 500mg per capsule. i really didn't see any improvements of the oil on my skin.

Do most people use pills or powder? You can get 300g of powder for 10 dollars. It's mad cheap.
