Also, always seem to break out within 24 hours of shaving. (That's when I get it the worst) I'll shave in the morning and by 10 o'clock at night I'll have a cyst like zit or two. And I don't know if it's because of the shaving because the fuckers are kinda deep, I can only assume. '
But I have tried every shaving method known to man. Every cleanser, every cream, every pre-shave prep and post shave ritual. Nothing works. NOTHING! And it seems like as the hair on my face gets thicker with age, so does my acne. And I can't grow a beard because that looks like shit. (spotty from my acne scars)
Yeah, dude. Shaving is a bitch. I get pissed off every time I see one of those Handsome mother fuckers with the sexy 5 o'clock shadow and flawless skin. (the chicks seem to love them) Pisses me off. Wish my skin looked like that after 2 days of not shaving.

Try shaving in the shower.
Uhhh....what? That sounds like it would be extremely difficult. I mean, first of all I'd have to find a mirror and a place to put it in my shower, that alone would require some construction in my shower. Then, I'd have to deal with the thing fogging up and I wouldn't even be able to see. Plus, I'd have to shower in the morning and night cause I shave at night. You shave during the morning? Doesn't it make your face look completely FUCKED during the day?

Ok, back to the topic. Shaving does make my acne worse, and my face gets more oily after I shave. If I don't shave for 2 to 3 days, my skin actually looks better (less active pimples), and less oily. So I shave only once every 2 -3 days.
I put a liberal amount of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (mixed with some water) on my face, then I use an electric shaver (Panasonic ES8003) which can be used for dry/wet shaving condition to shave my face. You can wet the shaver foil with water before you shave. When you shave, the cetaphil cleanser and the water on your shaver will get pulled into the shaver foil, then the blade inside the foil will mixed the cleanser with the water and produce the most gentle and non-irritating foam/bubbles I have ever experienced. I also get a closer shave by using cetaphil and water. I tried this method in the shower, and the result was the same. So you don't have to shave in the shower while using this method.
After you finish shaving, just using water to rinse it off your face. I hope this will help, and Wallgreens sells Cetaphil cheaper than any other places I know.

i used to get those too, they're called razor bumps its not acne
Here's my shaving regimin i do that doesnt cause any razor bumps or irritation:
I always shave after i shower because the steam from the shower has opened your pores up and makes it a good environment for shaving. I shave about 3-4 times a week.
I start out by exfoliating my skin usign Nivea for men facial scrub. Exfolitating before you shave makes the hair stand out better and allows it for a close shave. Then i lather up Nivea for men SENSITIVE skin shave gel. I shave with the Gillette fusion razor. (besides the hype , it is an amazingly good razor) AFter i finish shaving i apply the Nivea for men sensitive balm. THat's it, i dont use any moisturizer cuz it clogs pores.
ANother thing you can do to minimize razor bumps is to shave in the DIRECTION OF THE HAIR GROWTH. this means you shave down on your face and up on your neck. Since you are getting these bumps (its not acne by the way) it means you have realy sensitive skin. So make sure you shave along the grain and not against it. You might not get as close as a shave as you want but you have to follow this rule.
If after all that you are still getting irriation and razor bumps then you might want to consider changing to an electric shaver. That will definitely help im sure. I used to use an electric shaver but its not close enough for me. Cheeers

hey chron dewd, little though. weed causes hormonal imbalances in your body leading to mood swings and, your best friend, oil production. ive read a few articles pertaining to this, but the most solid evidence ive had of it was my weedhead friend. he started smoking weed almost everyday and his acne has gotten atleast twice as worse
just a thought
I'm saying this strictly out of good intentions, but you sound like a fucking idiot dude. Ever heard of a coincidence? Trust me, I'm not a dumb shit. I've tried not smoking weed to see if it would have any effect on my skin. My skin was just as bad and I was bored as fuck and pissed off all the time, plus very depressed about my acne because there was one less thing to distract me from it. If you're gonna give advice, rule number 1: know what the fuck you're talkin about.
And Donkey Puncher - no, they're not razor bumps. It's acne, I mean obviously, there's a HUGE difference between the two, you think I wouldn't be able to tell? It's just that the zits are usually very insignificant until I shave, then they get angry and swell up. But if I don't shave I look like a jerkoff so I'm fucked either way.

I am an Asian male with dark coarse facial hair, so my doctor said it will be very difficult to get rid of my facial hair completely in just 5 treatment. It cost me about $2000 already so I don't think I can do it again, besides, it will most likely grow back again.
People with different skin color and hair color can have different result. Some of my doctor's clients didn't have to shave for a year! So maybe you can talk to a laser surgeon about this option.
I also took the opportunity to spend another $1000 to laser remove the hair on my belly. I don't have acne there, but it made my washboard abs look sexier !!

I once tried Laser Hair Removal (5 sessions) to eliminate the need to shave. It helped my skin heal faster and looked better because there was no shaving equipment to irritate my skin. However, my hair grew back 3 months after my treatment was over (the treatment lasted 5 months), so now it's back to where it started. But my hair is softer and less dense now, so I guess it's better.

Wait, you're a DUDE who got his FACIAL HAIR surgically stopped? That is messed up man.
Luckily, it grew back 3 months after the treatment was over. So now if I want a beard on my face, I can just stop shaving for 2 days (Yes, my hair grows very fast).
The benefit of laser hair removal is not to permanently remove facial hair, because it may take more than 20 sessions to completely remove the hair. The real advantage of hair removal lies in the fact that if you do it once every month for about a year At the same time when you are using cool beam and blue light laser to treat your acne, you eliminate the need to shave for a year so your skin does not get irritated and can heal faster and better during that year.
When your acne is being treated (and hopefully gets cured) by cool beam and blue light laser, your skin will recover faster and more perfectly if you don't shave and irritate your skin. And 3 months after your whole treatment is over (which lasted one year), your hair will grow back, so you won't look like a girl.
Unfortunately, my acne was NEVER cured by cool beam and blue light lasers, and my facial hair has completely grown back now. I know it seems like a waste of money, that's why I want to let you guys know about it. Hey, I will never know if it works until I try, right?
But if you are talking about the person who did it for 4 years to completely remove the facial hair, then yeh that's pretty messed up (if "retaly" is a guy). No offense, don’t get mad at me. But I think facial hair makes a guy look nice, that’s why I never went back to my surgeon after my 1-year treatment was over, so I can still wear my sexy stubble !!
