Anyway, I'm gona see how I find this tinted moisturiser, and I'll update in a weeks time! razz.gif For anyone that's interested, that is eusa_whistle.gif

Hi summerbay im interested , i have never really tried tinted moisuriser , i have alwys wanted more coverage than they can offer , but i have tried prescroptives Traceless which is a bit like one , it is oilfree and really light in texture so you feel like your wearing nothing at all , it stays on really well because im really oily and it is fine on me , but it covers really well it airbrushes the skin and makes it look smoother , this is what i wear in the summer , you dont want heavy foundations in the hot months , Not that we get many hot months hear in England Ha Ha lol.gif but you never know ! let me know how you get on with the No 7 one .

Cool woowoo, I'll let you know how I get on biggrin.gif
Do you think the coverage of the prescriptive one is good enough to cover redmarks? (is it a foundation or a tinted moisturiser? and how much was it? just curious eusa_shifty.gif ).

Thing is, considering I spent £32 on the BB one, I figured I'll give the No7 one a go, it was £8.50, so it was worth a shot eusa_whistle.gif Only thing that bugged me, was the fact that there are only 2 shades. I bought the "fair" one cos the "medium" was like REALLY dark. But who know's. I'll wear it 2moro and I'll update everyone here eusa_angel.gif

hello sumerbay , the prescriptive traceless is a tinted moisturiser it says on the box "skin responsive tint", it is very light in texture , but it does seem to cover , but depending on your skin , i think you would need a conceler as well . i use a conceler with everything i use anyway! i need to ! ha ha it was £20 not to bad , the colour is really good they do 5 levels , ive got level 3 , I would recomend it for a light foundation . It is just hard to ween myself off good covering foundation it just makes me feel more confident ! I got it from QVC the shopping channel , and i had to wait 2 months for it because it just sells out over hear , Did you wear your No7 one today ? let me know how you liked it ? x

This is the one you're talking about, right?! eusa_think.gif

As for the No7. I wore it yesterday and am still a little undecided eusa_shifty.gif

Firstly, I really like the fact that you actually FEEL like you're not wearing anything. It is definately light weight. I didnt get any "shinies" so to speak, I have a seriously oily t-zone, so that was pretty good.

The only things I'm still undecided about, and probably need to give the product a few more shots is as to whether it breaks me out or not. So far, it seems promising, but I dont want to jinx myself just yet. As for the shade... I think it might be a little too dark, but I'll give it another shot.

Okey dokey... Firstly, sorry for not updating sooner- I've been pretty busy eusa_shifty.gif

Now for the update-
I'd say that this tinted moisturiser DIDNT break me out! So that's kinda cool cool.gif
The coverage, is non-existant, the only thing is does cover is dark under eyes, mind you, mine aren't that dark.... so for someone who has really dark under-eyes, it might not be sufficient. If you have any scars or red marks, you'd definately have to use a concealer to cover those, cos the tinted moisturiser wont cover those at all eusa_snooty.gif It just gives you an over all "glow" & freshness kinda look, if you know what I mean?

I didnt find that my face got oily- at all, once I put the moisturiser on, I topped it with veggie girls satin finishing powder, and I didnt get any shinies at all, so I'd definately say that's a good thing biggrin.gif

Hmmm.... what else can I comment on?!?! eusa_think.gif Oh yeah, eusa_shifty.gif it feels really light, you definately cant feel like you've got it on.

One thing that is kinda annoying, is the fact that I think, actually, no, I know this is a tad too dark for me doubt.gif even though I got "fair" which is the lightest shade, I feel it gives me a little bit of a tan, but it aint THAT noticable, I guess I notice it more, cos, well, I know what I look like lol!

If you want woowoo, since you're interested, I could send you a sample of this, so you can try it out too smile.gif I know Boots dont do "samples" so, there's no point of paying 8 pounds if you cant take it back if you dont like it and stuff, so, if you're interested, lemme know, and I'll send some your way! eusa_angel.gif

Hello sweetie , that is very nice of you surprised.gif its just that i cant get off the thick stuff ! i need the coverage mad.gif but im glad you like it , you sound like you have much better skin than me. It does not matter that the shade is maybe too dark , cos with tinted foundations you can get away with it ! NO TIDEMARKS ha ha lol.gif Im thinking of trying revlon colourstay the natural one ! its supposed not to break you out ! ! x

I kinda do need a bit more coverage eusa_shhh.gif eusa_shifty.gif But I'm trying to ween myself off foundation (hence why I went on search for a tinted moisturiser lol). eusa_angel.gif

If you do try the revlon colourstay, do let me know how you get on with it, I'd be interesting on hearing how you get on with it. If you dont mind me asking (and I apologise if you've mentioned this before and I've missed it or something) but if you like the prescriptive traceless why are you looking for another tinted moisturiser? (are you like me? - a product junkie eusa_shifty.gif ninja.gif jk, lol). Does the traceless not give enough coverage? confused.gif

Yep, I'm the same WooWoo eusa_shifty.gif

I do like the No7, it's just the colour that bothers me, doubt.gif (I'm pretty picky- I know eusa_shifty.gif ). I'll use it, but if I get the chance, I'm gona give that prescriptive one a try, and then maybe use the No7 in the summer when my skin is a bit darker, you know?! It's not the product itself is crappy, only the shade wink.gif (I'm a NC25/C3 using MAC stuff, if ur familiar with their shades).

Did you say the prescriptive stuff has good coverage? Will it hide a couple of "light" redmarks? eusa_shifty.gif I'd obviously use a concealer for the "darker" ones eusa_whistle.gif

I threw away about 6 foundations the other week after reading what labgirl said about not keeping cosmetics for too long cos of the bacteria ! i really regret it now ha ha ha i was in one of those moods ( must have been due on) Yes i am familiar with the mac colours they are really good and natural i use NC30 studio fix have done for years ( only for touching up though ) if i do use it on its own i always break out ! i need to find something else , but the colours are so brill . i have just started Dans Regimen 3 days have you done it or still on it ?????????? my skin is starting to get dryer , Im only doing the BP at night just to ease it in gentley wacko.gif if you try the prescriptive one summerbay i think you will be a level 2 , it is nice and does not shine up during the day ! Lol mate, we really have stolen this thread, haven't we?! eusa_whistle.gif

The MAC colours are great, and I used to swear by studio fix. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who never broke out from it, I still wear it sometimes, but... actually... I dont know why I stopped, cos really there wasnt anything wrong with it eusa_think.gif I guess curiousity got the better of me and I wondered what liquid foundations were like, and then I experimented with Laura Mercier oil-free foundation & Laura Mercier powdered foundation (each cost £30, loads, I know eusa_doh.gif). I have to admit though, I've had a love/hate relationship with the LM powderfoundation... I like it wet, but then, when dry... I dunno, it just didnt give much coverage shrug.gif

Anyway, as my acne "calmed down" I decided to find a tinted moisturiser, just to even out the redness etc. At first I just mixed the LM oil-free with my regular moisturiser, but me being me, I just cant be bothered with doing that first thing in the morning (I'm a student & nearly always end up rushing first thing in the morning... as you do... eusa_whistle.gif ).

Anyway... I have absolutely no idea as to why I've just rambled on about all ^^ that eusa_shifty.gif back to the topic and the stuff you were saying...

I did go on the regimen last year, and it did work pretty well for me and cleared up my whole face (I was using oxy on the spot, can get them from boots/superdrug). But I stopped cos after about a year, I suddenly developed an allergy to Bp dry.gif it kinda took me quite a while to "accept" that I was allergic to it, but I think getting a swollen left eye everytime you put bp on... your body kinda gets the message sooner or later lol.gif when I was on the regimen, I only used bp at night (no moisturiser), mainly cos I used to do a lot of sports and I found that if I put bp on during the day, I would "sweat it off" it was weird, cos "white stuff" would emerge from my skin, where I had applied it confused.gif But using it at night, you should be fine. I just wish I wasnt allergic, dammit! eusa_boohoo.gif

I havent tried BE (bare escentials?!), do they sell them here in the uk? cos I've never seen them around eusa_think.gif But I've heard mixed reviews on that... I think people either love it or hate it (a bit like marmite!!! razz.gif ).

As for the prescriptive, cheers for informing me what colour I am cool.gif If I get the chance, I pop by and have a look eusa_whistle.gif I reckon the No7 will be a good match for you (colourwise smile.gif ).

Anyway... by the looks of things... I've practically written an essay...
Take care, until we next talk again!!!

Lol, I'm glad I cracked you up! lol.gif I'm from down south, London baby!!! cool.gif

When I was on the regimen, tbh, I didnt even know that quiniderm existed... oxy was the only way I could use bp. It aint a gel though, its a cream. It took so long to do the whole skin care thing at night, cos like, I'd put a tiny weenie bit on, ensure it's all absorbed etc. Then add some more etc. People I think in the uk regimen forum have mentioned that it caused flakiness and all that, but from my experience, the only "side effect" I got was redness, but it wasnt that bad, cos I only used bp at night, and by the time morning came... the redness would die down. So it wasnt really a biggie to me if you know what I mean?! Plus, if the worse did come to worse and the redness was still there in the morning, I'd just slap on some studio fix after moisturing in the morning! biggrin.gif

The whole "lizard skin" thing never really happened to me tbh, all I can say to that is to ease off the bp a bit. I think one of the main things to remember is to increase the amount of bp slowly. But, if you're getting this "lizardlike skin thing going on" I say, stop the bp, let ur skin "recover" for like a week or something and then, if you feel like it, you could try again. Also, what percentage of bp is in that quiniderm thing? is it 2.5% ? cos although I know some people use higher percentages of it (e.g 5/10% ) sometimes that can have an affect, especially if ur new to bp and all that.

As for me keeping clear. I was on antibiotics for quite some time (minocycline), that stuff worked wonders on me, but the side effects in my opinion, didnt really make it worth it for me. I was actually telling turnergirl about this before, but like my gp keeps changing (locum dr's working there) so every time I go, they keep prescribing the mino and I was told that your not really meant to be on it for longer than a year in one go, yet I was on it for like 2. The side effects, well...kinda took its toll on me, so I quit taking the antibiotic back around christmas sometime. Thing is, my skin was "bareable" so to speak, but suddenly, more recently my skin is just getting ridiculus doubt.gif But I'm starting to think it's probably due to crazy hormones and high stress levels at the moment, cos my skin was fairly clear from like january till now. I basically cleanes with a gentle cleanser (neutrogena skin deep, comes in a pump bottle)/ if I want something medicated, I'll use L'oriel pure zone (the one in the can that foams & has SA in it) only problem is that i cant find the one in the can anymore sad.gif I'm starting to think they've discontinued it eusa_think.gif which is why I'm on a hunt for another cleanser). As for moisturising, I'll use the l'oriel purezone is pretty good, but I think I need some spf, since summer is on its way and all eusa_whistle.gif (I say that, whist it's pouring with rain outdoors, lol). But that's generally kept me clear. Oh, yeah, and in the shower, I use the oxy in the shower, shower gel. That's been pretty good at clearing up any body acne that I have.

I think I might give the "BE trying" for later on... I really need to finish up all the products I have first eusa_shifty.gif lol
catch ya later!
