My aunt had told me that ladies in Sweden would take their babies urine soaked cloth diapers and press it against their skin. To bad my kids are teen agers and out of diapers or I would try it.

After looking at about 10 other websites about this, I decided to try it. I mean what's the worst that could happen, if you chicken out, just go wash it off. Well, I really hope this isn't some kind of cruel joke...just shows how gullible I am, lol. I'll give it a week or 2 and see if it helps. By the way. it took a lot of balls for me to try this. Well According to me Urinotherapy is a splendid method in most cases, I am going to start this therapy but i still need sufficient research and evidence, once question that i have on my mind, is that should i drink my own urine or urine from the pharmacist, etc.???

I tried it once... it worked to reduce the size of some zits I had when I did overnight, but I stopped using this method after a while. In another urine thread in the general acne forum, I think, a few other people posted the results they had using urine.

I just drank my own urine. Yes. I can't believe I did that, but now I can cross 'drink urine' off my list of things to do before I die.

Well considering urine does have minerals and other things which the body finds useful in developing the skin, it is not a bad idea, but read up before doing anything funny with piss

I agree with the urea comment, its that specifically that helps. Some OTC products have it in them.

Eucerin products have it in them, my intensive moisturizer included. I'm tryin to think ...there was something else too that has it...

but the thing is, my guess would be the marketing tactic wouldnt go over so well if they tried to advertise the ingredient....a simple reference check and everyone would be like "omg no i am not putting that on my skin.."

So I have moderate acne along my jawline, around my temples and across my forehead. I used to use minocycline and differin, in combination, very expensive. Then I just used differin, which worked well but is still a bit expensive. Then I downsized to using Benzoyl Peroxide every night, and basically live with very little but constant acne on both sides of my chin, and around my temple. I always have pimples there, and occasionally they get bad enough I don't want to go out because of it.

So for the last five days I've just been using a cotton swab to 'clean' my face. I do it twice to make sure I'm getting it covered. I do it three to four times a day. In the morning and evening I wash my face with facial soap, and then apply the urine. I do not wash it off as its absorbed by your face so theres nothing to wash off. If you do some research you also find out it works as a moisturizer, so I haven't needed to apply that either. Usually the BP makes my face incredibly dry, sometimes painfully so, regardless of how much moisturizer I use.

The results: my skin looks very glowy, it doesn't feel dry at all, and I have no pimples left to report. For me, it is very clear that it works. If I went five days without applying benzoyl peroxide and used nothing else, my skin would be a disaster area, and there's nothing there. The acne that the BP is NEVER able to clear up is completely gone. I'm sold....just try it.

Just as a disclaimer, I have never had the horror story faces of people you see on proactive, I just have stubborn acne women get around 25, so I think for moderate acne, like mine, this might work rather well. I don't know about the deep infection type that I first had that I needed the antibiotic to clear up. But give it at least a week and keep an open mind, you might be surprised and richer.

People who want to say eww....refrain, ignorance is irritating. Urine is sterile, vitamin packed watered down blood...google it and find out. Keep your uneducated thoughts to yourself and go read a book.
