Now I'm more confused than ever. I logged on to try to find a better moisturizer but everyone seems to have a different recomendation. I'm currently using Neutrogena Moisture. It's okay, but I'm still flaky underneath unwanted shine. I was going to switch to the Eucerin Renewal but I certainly don't want to get shinier. Has anyone tryed the new Eucerin moisterizer w/ lactic acid? Its recommended for acne prone skin. What about the Aveeno facial moisterizers?????

Also, Dan, I wanted to thank you for clearing up my skin! I owe you the world! FYI: I've had great success with Dove (Unscented) as a cleansing bar. I think its milder (and cheaper) than Purpose.

That's what I use - and I've had great results!  I've always had weird skin that was oily yet flaky all over at the same time.  The only thing that ever helped before this was vaseline, but it was so messy.  And, looking ahead to when I get married, I was thinking how displeased my husband would probably be if I came to bed every night with a slimy face!

Since I've been using this, my face is not flaky at all - for the first time in years.  Not much oiliness, at least no more than I've always had before using it, so I can deduce that it's not caused by my moisturizer.  Good luck!

Angela

Angela, I'm a bit confused. Are you using the Nuetrogena Ultra Sheer or the Combination Moisture? I'm also oily and dry at the same time. I'd like to try whatever is working so great for you. Thanks!

No moisturizer I have used comes close to this. It's the only one that leaves my skin looking normal and gets rid of all the flaks.

Hey plainjane -
I'm using exactly what that link has a picture and description of. It's simply Neutrogena Healthy Skin face lotion SPF 15. The description on that link is exactly what it says on the back of the box and everything. I found it at Target. They don't have it at my grocery store. I know Neutrogena has a lot of different facial moisturizers - it can be confusing! Hope that helped. :)

AngelaJo, you are only person that I've read from who has ever used that product without breaking out. I had used that product before and it couldn't be any more greasier, not to mention it broke me out like crazy. Nearly everyone who reviewed this product pretty much agrees with me too. I commend you for having such resistent skin. If that product doesn't break you out, then I don't know what will.

Just about everything you can think of breaks me out. Or doesn't work as a moisturizer, or something. This isn't greasy at all to me, and I've never broken out from it. And I've never known anyone to even use it, let alone anyone who's said it's terrible. What ingredient is so bothersome? I checked the ingredients, and I'm no expert, but it looked safe to me. And it has been. It's the best moisturizer I've ever used in that it takes my flakiness away, and doesn't add to my oiliness. Doesn't mean I'm not oily at all, but I would be regardless. The moisturizer had nothing to do with it. Sorry you had bad luck with it.

So far I have used the Neutrogena oil free moisture with spf 15, and Cetaphil with spf15, I want to try Eucerin AHA spf15 I'll probally buy it soon, any one have any problems with this lotion??? But moisturizers kinda suck, I can put just enough on to where it isnt too shiny but it makes my red marks stand out alot more, and I have to put it on or else my face is dry, tight, whitish, and plus the sun, and a little flakey! Does any body else have this problem about it making the marks stand out more?????
