According to Dr. Hubrow, the cold would open up the pores allowing the BP to absorb better and do it's job. Don't know if it's true but it doesn't hurt to try.

be careful because really cold or hot can stimulate the subus gland and produce more oil in your skin.

I'd like to know where he found that cold open up pores... i've always heard it was HOT water, etc, that opened em. :-s

An there aint even been any real proof that it was right... so i'd like to know if he actually experimented with that.

I always thought it was hot water that opened pores as well. And cold closed them. That's why they always say to wash with warm water and splash with cool. Heat = expands Cold = contracts

That's what I've always heard, so I've been confused about this cold bp thing, too.

i believe it is the reduce the inflammation of pimples as to absorb deeper to the source of the bacteria. The doctor says that inflammation is a defensive mechanism of the body which backfires against acne and makes the problem worse.
