Am i correct in assuming that BP doesnt prevent new pimples from forming?

Reason why i ask is because pimples take about 2 weeks to form under the skin before they are noticeable on your face. So really when we are applying BP, we are in essence zapping those pimples as soon as they come to the surface (or right about to) correct?

Because this would explain why when people go off the regimen for a day or 2 they have lots of new pimples form. Because they didnt have the BP on there to zap them.
