A toner usually helps closing the pores, I think this should help prevent bacteria from going in, right?

Also, should I apply BP/neutrogena multivitamin lotion after my pores are closed or before? Since Dan's regimen says to wait for 15 minutes for pores to close but it didn't make any sense to me. I thought that BP is easier to go in when the pores are still open, no?

Please help me with my 2 questions. Thanks.

I use the clinique toner, and it's really made a big positive difference in my skin. It does seem to help the bp to absorb better. I know it's contrary to common sense, but it works. I think maybe it's because it removes dead skin, oil, cleanser residue, etc, which may be blocking bp absorption (and causing you to break out, too). So anyway, I wholeheartedly recommend using a good toner before you put on your bp. Just be careful about the brand you pick, because some toners leave a nasty residue on your skin that can actually make you break out worse.
