Don't just quit the regimen if your switching to jojoba, use the oil and regimen for a week, then slowly start lowering the amount of BP until it's none. That'll help breakouts down. : - )

Im glad your skin is doing so well with the jojoba oil. Ive been using it also for maybe the past two or three months. Though my skin is not clear I no longer get cystic acne...
I agree with that. After using so many products, it's really hard to tell what actually is working.

- the pores on my nose, which are almost always clogged, are finally becomming unclogged
- blackheads are less noticeable
- i dont get huge zits anymore... just occassional whiteheads
- my skin is less oily during the day
- using more oil doesnt produce better or faster results... ive found that using 3-4 drops works best

it did not improve my redmarks significantly. my marks are extremely stubborn, so i think i will have to give it a couple more months before i can address this issue! actually, ive been on taz for 1month now and i think it does more for the redmarks/scars than the jojjoba--mainly b/c it shed my skin, whereas i think the jojoba makes the marks more softer looking.
i still think you should try it out. if anything, jojoba can be a great addition to your regimin, even if it really doesnt work for you (as in my case, so far).

accutane is obviously drying me out (which is a good thing) and I got a moisturiser which is pretty good but still, my skintone at the moment looks so "stressed and damaged" due to accutane...so I'm wondering if jojobaoil could helpf with that....but then again I feel really unsure about applying oil to my face when I'm on a medication that works against oil production

im not sure about using it while on accutane. dont worry about putting oil on your face especially when this is a good oil, that mimicks your natural sebrum. you mite get a breakout from it, so maybe it wont be good when on accutane since you'll already be breaking out a lot (that is, if youre concerned about breaking out more)?? i dont know, but its pretty good stuff!!

One thing you have to be careful about JO is that applying too much at a time is bad...
A little goes a long way!

First off, Jojoba oil closely resembles the oil produced by the human skin, also known as Sebum. This is good for people who have oily to very oily skin. If you apply this after washing the natural oil off your face, you skin will actually detect it and think that there is enough oil and stop producing it.
Secondly, to semi continue above, Jojoba oil is 100% non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. Therefore when your skin thinks this is its natural oil and stops producing, theres no chance that jojoba will clog your pores. Sebum can actually clog your pores.
Third, Jojoba isnt a true oil. Its actually a liquid wax. But it never turns to solid. Therefore is penetrates your pores, mixes with your sebum and stays a liquid. Basically it helps to clean and clear pores. Now not as quickly as a BHA or AHA would, but it does help with the clogs.
Lastly, There are a few studies showing that jojoba oil has some anti-bacterial properties. Again, not as strong as Benzoyl peroxide or Tea tree oil, but is does have some effect.
Also if you didnt know, Jojoba oil is widely used natural acne treatment. Especially in western countries where they grow it.
Hope this info helps. If your curious to know more, go to google and search... jojoba oil acne .... just like that, you'll get tons of websites saying what i did above and even more.
