I bought some Desert Essence jojoba oil a couple days ago and like it alot. The only thing is it makes my face look oily and doesn't absorb for a few hours. Does anyone know how I can help this? I tried patting my face with a tissue and it helped a little, but not as much as I'd like. I want the full benefits of the oil since I have really dry skin.
try putting the oil on when your skin is just a little bit damp. it gets absorbed quickly and doesn't look shiny.

supercelebs: i don't have any pimples, so i highly doubt jojoba would irritate them. and yes, some pple do report clogged pores and breakouts.

Try just applying it at night. Then you can slather it on and it will be all absorbed by the morning. If I need moisturizer in the morning, I just put on a couple drops.

well, it's almost a week now. and i'm pretty amazed with the results. i've always had these sebum "strings" that clog pores and make skin look really rough and uneven. well, jojoba oil has completely eliminated this. these strings just stopped forming. my skin looks so wonderful. only a week, and hopefully i won't breakout later from this stuff. i'll continue with my updates.

I'm glad it's working for you! I use to have horrible, huge, painful zits on my forehead, and now I have none thanks to jojoba!
Th only problem is I am still breaking out on my chin, and I recently discovered that dairy products are a big cause in acne. So Today was my first day without dairy, so we'll see how that goes.

You won't see an overnight result in scar reduction, but after using it for over a month now, I see a noticeable difference in my scars.
Just make sure you mix it with tea tree oil, it helps tremendously!!

Jojoba oil will get rid of dry and flaky skin! My skin used to be really dry and flaky, especially after washing with BP. Of course, I don't use BP anymore, but I still have very dry skin, and Jojoba helps a lot!

I'm a bit confused from reading this thread though, one person said it cleared up their oily pores (i suppose you mean blackheads?) while another said it could make them worse...
Has anyone tried using olive oil?
