I have a huge cyst on my face. I don't know what to do. Do they go away on their own? Or do I need to visit the dermatologist. Are they harmful?

they can scar. I've never suffered from cysts so am not an expert.
What you can do - apply some 2% hydrocortisone as directed to reduce the inflamation
What your derm can do - most likely -a hyrdrocortisone shot into the affected area
If cysts are a routine problem - you could consider accutane ...it has a good success rate on cystic acne.

cysts that are frequent can show you have some kinda of problem that should be treated. my friend i know had cysts on his legs and had to get surgery for this.....just aska DOC.

cysts scar, sometimes badly. Best to see a doctor and have him/her help reduce swelling and prevent scarring. There are definite things they can do.
